What kept Ansell out for so much of the season?
He's only 28 so in theory he's still got 3-5 years left in him. He's got a pretty good level of A-L experience as well. So I'm happy to see him offered another year.

Re: REDS AGREE TRANSFER FEE FOR MOHAMED TOURE AND YAYA DUKULY WITH FRENCH CLUB
According to Toure's wiki they've gone to Reims. Good luck to them both. Still sad to see the club is unable to hold on to such young players. It would be interesting to hear what the dynamic is with the club locking in promising youth. My presumption is agents jump on these kids early and offer the...

Re: Who's signed for next season
Wow very interesting appointment. I hope he can help break the stigma that East Coast players seem to have with coming here, then hopefully we can see more Elrich, Jeggo and Galloway scenario stories of the club playing a roll in turning careers around.

Re: New Owners?
The Parklands shouldn't and won't be an option. Agree about buying up and using space currently wasted on empty or dormant warehouses adjacent to the stadium. If we look at the space though, what value does to add to anyone beside an alternative area for North Adelaide residents to walk their dog? ...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: New Owners?
I hope that Pelligra develops a training centre like the setup at Western Sydney Wanderers next to Coopers Stadium. Six pitches, gymnasium, medical facilities, indoor training/futsal courts, facilities for women and girls and ,importantly, facilities to house an academy etc. This can be the steppin...

Re: Falling attendances
Not sure what stage of life all of us are at. But I wonder if that has a lot to do with it? When AU was formed I just left high school and got into the work force. At that stage of my life I had ample time and money to spend on the club I bought memberships and attended most games, I would be on her...

Re: Falling attendances
Totally understand your first point. I think it will take time to adjust back to feeling comfortable out and about. Sadly in this instance, I think there will be a lot of people who get the taste for the hermit life and going out of the house for some people will become a rare event. Second and thir...

Re: Melbourne City v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©
Given memories of many many unfair results from Melbourne trips sticking in my mind. I'll gladly take the ugliest of wins with deflected own goals from Melbourne trips. I think the real tests for Carl is ensuring a better home form and reducing the side's almost total reliance on Goody for goals, wh...

Re: Who's signed for next season
I heard Simon Hill during the City game say that he isn't.Welcome Zach Clough!
I hope you do yourself and the club proud!
Any relation to the legend?

Haha. Opposition never feeling like they are going to win until the final whistle blows is such a great vibe to generate. Now we just need to couple this with a couple of strong performances that result in easy wins on the score board.

Re: New Owners?
I'm convinced. They should buy the club. https://indaily.com.au/sport/manton-st-tales/2022/01/28/for-sale-reds-back-on-auction-block/ B) Yes I agree with this article. I know very little of the Pelligra Group but they seem to be growing fast which is a small red flag in my books as far as that may ...

Re: Zach Clough
Given his career goal/games record I would presume he's more often played as a #10. On paper that's exactly the player the club has needed since Troisi left. If his wiki stats are right he's played 2 dozen games this season already so he SHOULD as fit as anyone in the side! At 26 this guys ticks a l...

Pretty amazing to see Goody and McGree combining. Hopefully this is the start of many more Socceroos goals partly thanks to AU!

Crowd starting to boo Blackwood... prove them wrong and gives us the shush then mate Hahahaha we got the finger wag instead of the shush It’s poor form giving our own player stick at Hindmarsh. Re: Riley McGree
Amazing move and amazing windfall for AU. Hopefully the club can put some of the money towards locking some more of their talent down so future stars can generate lucrative fees. I'd love to see the club offer Mo Toure a long term deal that offers him stability in the short term so he can focus on b...
