We are still in the change rooms.
Poor start.
Annoying losing momentum by having a week off, thanks to WU's incompetence.

Warland and Isa at CB is going to make things hard for us.
I imagine Lopez and Kitto either side of them will need to sit back a bit perhaps.
Tunnicliffe and Yull in front will have a lot of defensive work today.
Up against it but form has been decent of late.
COYR!!

Re: RE: Re: Unite Round
Combined attendance for last weekend’s games was in excess of 48,000. And with one game a bye (Reds vs WU). So that’s about 20+% more than the much hyped Unite Round. The game is looking pretty healthy to me. Crowds have been pretty good despite all the issues with the APL, which is great to see. U...

Re: RE: Asian Cup 2023 (in 2024 because … $$)
I didn’t like Gethin Jones at RB In previous game. Atkinson replaced him and while serviceable, I find myself comparing the static one dimensional approach with the swashbuckling attacking threat that is our young friend Giuseppe Bovalina. I know he’s young and has only just come on the scene but j...

Re: Who's signed for next season
Probably explains why they've started to push Isa back there a bit more.
Tbh not a bad move for Isa given his age.
Congrats to Hall and Pops - both deserving, and can't begrudge any player going overseas (for a fee to boot!).

Re: Who's signed for next season
Understand that Adelaide United and Olyroos centre-back Alex Popović (2002) has been the subject of overseas interest in recent weeks, with Adelaide rejecting a bid from K-League side Gwangju.

Re: Independent A-league
Perth are claiming the APL instructed them to loan a player to MV.
Wtaf.
Completely undermining the integrity of the league.
Can they instruct Amini to join us on loan?

Re: Who's signed for next season
I thought there were now transfer fees or loans allowed between clubs?
If so why are we still terminating player contracts?

Re: Asian Cup 2023 (in 2024 because … $$)
Looked very average until the subs came on.
McGree, Bos, Silvera all had an impact but it was the former AU boy who looked the most dangerous. Lovely run to set up the goal.
Hopefully just blowing out the cobwebs and we see us grow from here.

Re: Unite Round
Hugely rate it. Looks a lot of fun - all the games and fans in one (or two) venue(s), joining in and cheering on opposition teams. I will try to get there next year. Would love this to be somewhere other than Sydney to make it more affordable for people to get to, but NSW is really the only gov't th...

Deserves his own thread after his hatty against SFC in our 4-3 win. Official legend status! Stumbled across this article written in the leadup to the game (didn't know Ch9 were capable of quality journalism!): https://wwos.nine.com.au/football/a-league-news-2024-hiroshi-ibusuki-career-exclusive-adel...
