Re: Who's signed for next season

Ben Folami is also worth pursuing.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Looking at Transfermarkt, a striker by the name of Hugo Vieira has just left Yokohama F. Marinos (isn't that Ange's club?) and is now a free agent. Judging by his goal compilations, he's got a powerful shot and plays as a target man, but can also create goals for himself. Definitely worth pursuing. ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Concerning that there are zero striker rumours whatsoever floating about now. Juric is a no go, Bobo is likely a pipe dream, same with Fornaroli. Are we going to sign a single player this month?

Re: Who's signed for next season

Welp, it's not too late to go all in on Bobo. Surely this new consortium has some spare change to the tune of $1 million lying around.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Has he made much, or any, progress since he left the A-League? If not, then this is definitely an underwhelming signing.

Re: Who's signed for next season

I'm not really fussed about Mileusnic leaving. Two good goals on Boxing Day, but apart from that he barely looks A-League quality (CCM would love him though). If a Korean club wants to take him on, then good luck to all parties involved.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Also I'd like to get Juric, but I have a feeling that these new Juric rumours are just softening the blow when we inevitably sign a 31 year old from the Lithuanian first division with 8 goals in 33 games.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Apo Stam is being chased by another A-League club. Surely we're not going to let him leave like that, like so many youth prospects before him.

Re: Who's signed for next season

A really out there rumour circulating on Twitter that Fornaroli will be going to Victory in a swap deal for Toivonen.

I'll say it again. It's time to show some genuine ambition. It's Bobo time.

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Hence the comment about fucking Diawara off on New Year's Day and bringing in someone who can actually score consistently. Even with our new, wealthier owners, I wouldn't be surprised if we end up signing yet another permacrock plebeian who hasn't played in 8 months and hasn't scored in 18. This cou...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

The thing that pisses me off the most is that I could see this coming. We follow the exact same script so many times we deserve some kind of footballing Academy Award. Completely dominate the opposition for 20-25 minutes, create several great chances but fluff them all. "No problem", we say. "We got...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I think everyone failed in this match. The players and the coaches. Marco is a great coach, one of the best in the league (which is why he's been tapped up by several A-League clubs and expansion hopefuls), but the lack of an actual philosophy leads to some dire football that swings between dreary a...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

What a shitshow. Agree with the above sentiments regarding Kurz's lack of a philosophy, which is really messing with our ability to play consistent and good football. When it works we can tear just about any team to shreds, but when it doesn't this is the result. I really like Kurz and want it to wo...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Classic Adelaide United. Spend the first 20-30 minutes completely destroying the opposition, only to concede a scrappy, unfortunate and undeserved goal. This is why we need a top class striker. We should be 2-0 or 3-0 ahead with the chances we've had, yet we'll go on to cop another goal just before ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I have it on good authority (and don’t ask who) that Bruce is returning on an injury replacement contract to see out the season.

Stay tuned. An announcement will be made Friday.
So much for that.
