Re: HAL Expansion

Overall, I suspect the main criteria for selection was Worst-Case scenario, and these two bids are probably the only two whose worst-case after 5 years didn't end with "Doesn't exist anymore" Except for South Melbourne whose recent reputation for being creative with numbers probably made any statis...

Re: HAL Expansion

Ok reading up about this bid, they are building their own 15k stadium in tarneit but wont be ready for atleast the first 2 seasons. So... they will play their first 2 seasons at kardinia park ( a fucking afl ground ) in geelong. I beleive its roughly 50 minutes drive from their home base in tarneit...

Re: HAL Expansion

The A League should make more use of weeknights anyway so a bye shouldn't be an issue. Probably the two safest options for the A-League to choose, though I can't see either of them gathering a huge following. It's interesting that the West Melbourne team will be based a long way out west without muc...

I mean, it's not like Bernie Ibini has signed with Emirates Club in the UAE from Vancouver Whitecaps.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Pablo Sanchez would have to be number 1 in goals per 90 minutes of time on the pitch.

Re: Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Themes for the season so far: A) Kurz's strategies seem to tend towards maintaining the current state of the game regardless of opposition quality B ) Also they are useless after ~65 minutes C) Elsey's brain fades D) Halloran doesn't know how to run like a human and has an uncanny knack of giving up...

Looks like Mauk bit someone. Hopefully he gets as many weeks as Regan does.
The "bite" was after Regan shoved his hand in his face and it was another Brisbane player's hand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7A1opt8CbY

Ilso looks like he's playing a different game. Not sure reshuffling multiple positions just so Ryan Kitto of all people can play in his usual spot is a good idea though.

Re: Adelaide United v Sydney FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

The team looked great at times. But I don't want another year where Kurz's complete lack of faith in anyone outside a handful of players, means the club reverts to all-out defence anytime something goes moderately non-perfect in the build up.

Re: Dog rape, fat body builders and mein kampf

If I submitted 48 hoax articles. I think I could do better than only getting 7 of them published in pay-to-publish vanity journals. And this is Boghossian's second try at it in two years too.

This nonsense isn't worthy of being mentioned in the same paragraph as the Sokal hoax.

Re: Socceroos heading to the Asian Cup 2019

The only sympathy I have for Arnold is that I feel he was hung out to dry in his previous stint. It's not that he was any good back then, it's that it took months between the FFA making it obvious he would be replaced and actually pulling the trigger. I don't rate him at this level, but I will wait ...
