Re: Adelaide United Supporters - Club Champion 2010/2010
Certainly can't argue with that! Congratulations to Cassio on his 2nd club champion award. Congratulations should also go to everyone at AUFC who worked to make the awards night what it was. Fantastic night. Great to see Travis and Reidy attend as well and a nice touch by Greg Griffen to make the po...

Re: A league transfer rumours, NON AU
Yeh i read that they agreed to release him on compassionate grounds as he and his wife were quite homesick. They will miss him, especially if another club swoops for AminiPerez released

Re: Serginho?
When the formation of that league was announced i believe FIFA refused to recognise it as it was being run seperately from the Indonesian governing body, thus the 2 year penalty would apply. As i understand it has since been recognised and FIFA have stated that no penalties will apply to players inv...

Re: ACL 2011
I was in disbelief when i saw the crowd (or lack of) on TV and when i heard the figure i was disgusted. The ACL is our regions highest level of club competition. It should be an honour to be involved in it as a club and the chance to see your side up against the best our confederation has to offer s...

Re: Socceroos to play in SA
We had an entire Olyroos tournament in Adelaide just a few years ago and barely anyone showed up. I think from memory there was talk of it being an ongoing thing, but due to the absolute lack of interest they shifted the next lot of games to Newcastle. Thats true but thats where the marketing aspec...

Re: Socceroos to play in SA
It would be great to host young socceroos games here. With the right marketing i'm sure it would draw a very reasonable crowd as well. Certainly more so than melbourne or sydney who, as mentioned, are regularly spoon fed international fixtures. Also surely if the prospect of having Brazil here for $...

Re: Big clubs leaving FFSA
Yeh its an interesting one. Its still got a long way to go in terms of how it will play out. Obviously they would lose out on any involvement in the potential FFA cup competition also. Big risks involved from the clubs perspective

Haha how ridiculous. I suppose in the end it was cheaper and far less messy for reading to throw some cash the kids way than battling him in the courtroom! I have my lawyer on standby just in case Rooney leaves Man U! lol

Re: Anymore signings?
I agree we should do all we can to get these guys back playing at home however i do think that the better SPL clubs are still a small step ahead of the A-League (A big step in Celtic & Rangers case). It is hard to compare teams and leagues from other continents in this way though. I think players li...

Re: Anymore signings?
Ryan McGowan would be a great signing in my opinion. He has tremendous potential and spent time as a central midfielder during his time in Hearts youth setup so he has that ball playing ability as a CB, As well as being born in Adelaide! Im not sure how we would go coaxing he or his younger brother ...

Re: Championship - who's going up and down?
Yeh QPR have that top spot. If i had to guess i think Swansea will hang on to 2nd spot and who knows about the playoff! Would be interesting to see both Cardiff and Swansea win promotion. Welsh derby in the EPL would be epic! It seems Preston are certainly down and more than likely Sheffield United ...
