Re: Japan and South Korea lead the way in Asia
I agree Steel man that Japan improved physically in some areas. I still think that Asian sides are more technical than physical. They still have much improving to do on their physical side of the game before they can push for a World Cup.

Re: AppHangB1
Perhaps some bad add-ons? Have you tried resetting IE David?
If not, here is a tutorial how to, give that a try:

Re: And so the ignorance begins
More or less, I guess I'm a little biased considering many of my friends refuse to recognise football as a game, let alone calling it football "because it's real name is soccer".Fallacious argument, they are all football.

Re: Japan and South Korea lead the way in Asia
Fair assessment? No I don't think so. Having played for years, I can tell you right now, the way to beat heavily technical sides like Korea and Japan, is with hard and physical teams. To be fair, neither three will come close to the World Cup, Japan and Korea rely to much on technique to win games, ...

Re: AFC Cup Final - Aus v Japan
It comes down to this. Read the play before it happens. Most Japanese players are very technical, so close them down early and don't be afraid to play the tough football. Japanese players are a little lightweight in comparison to Australian footballers, and the Aussies can use this to their advantage.

Re: And so the ignorance begins
Football is where the ball meets your foot 80% of the game, and the other 20% made up of heading, chesting and goalkeeper handling. Unlike AFL where 90% of the ball is in your hands, or in a pack of Gorillas trying to play a 'sport'.

Re: And so the ignorance begins
Do WIlson and Cornes consider themselves Australian? Because if they had a brain they would call the game football and not 'soccer' as 'soccer' is an American word. Those two obviously have fallen into the traps of globalisation.

Re: Week 24: Melbourne Derby
Many fans choose not to go to games STILL because the quality of other countries that they follow teams in is better. Some others do not go to games for cultural reasons. This is a detrimental to our game.

Re: Week 24: Melbourne Derby
One thing I can say about the man is he did actually do something for football. Maybe not in the best way, but he still did. Everyone loved to play Melbourne, every opposition fan couldn't wait to get stuck into Muscat. He was the man we all hated, but lets face it we waited for him to be a thug to ...
