Re: Who's signed for next season

I guess to some the grass is always greener on the otherside.

Re: Who's signed for next season

According to Transfermarkt, he has played a total of 16 games since he left AUFC. 8 for his Portuguese club and 8 for his loan club in Korea. It's only been a year since he left and I always thought one of the main reasons he left was to give playing OS another crack, so I don't think he'll be back ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Dennis Grote? The info on transfermarkt showed a bunch of other really old players. There was a striker but he is out injured with an acl.

LW/CM btw.

Re: RE: Re: Wellington Phoenix v Adelaide United Match day Jamboree!!!©

Days left until the window closes for the A-League, and only a short while after that before free agents are all we can sign. If we genuinely sign nobody, or the signing makes no impact until late in the season, then unfortunately Kovacevic will need his position reviewed. Free agents are all anyon...

Also elsey as captain is huge,

Can an agreement that he takes over as captain after isaias leaves keep him at the club ?
Is it too bold to say he is one of the best CB's we've ever had?

Re: Wellington Phoenix v Adelaide United Match day Jamboree!!!©

Huge game for Elsey yesterday. Youth product, lots of bad injuries keeping out for years pretty much, no contract at the start of the season and almost cut from the squad but was given a trial competing against Mullen, won, secured a starting position and yesterday captained the club while putting i...

Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season

Conspiracy theory: we haven't signed anyone yet this window because Ante is protesting against Griffin not giving him the budget he needs to sign the players he wants.
So in this scenario, Ante is trying to get fired? Because thats the only logical outcome of him trying that.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Most of his family are in Melbourne. Once an offer pops up over there that is suitable, it will immediately erase our chances. I don't buy that excuse from Ante. It might be harder for us compared to the east coast but Petrillo did just fine getting players here. Petrillo did better than Ante even w...

I can see him going to Victory when they eventually change their coach.

Re: RE: Re: Melbourne City v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I really dislike Ochieng. Truly. Awful player. Weird comment, Shin. What evidence do you have that he’d be like that? He seems composed, smart and sensible. He has the head for top level, if you ask me. The times when he looked promising is when he has used his pace. I assume everyone, myself inclu...

Re: Melbourne City v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

City press us high. We pass around the back with no one to aim for with a long pass. We eventually cough up possession. We get it to the half way line, no movement by the front 4, they offer no idea so we turn back to our goal and we eventually cough up possession. We get the ball to the wings, Mile...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Elsey's form this season has confirmed that we were right to stand by him in his multiple recoveries. Now we need to re-sign him and reap the rewards of our patience. Clock is ticking Ante.

Re: Preview: Melbourne City v AUFC 21.01.17

Marrone's form this season has been dire. Not up to the standard he has set for himself. However his past couple games have been getting better. Hopefully he has put it behind him and he rekindles some reliability in his performances.
