Re: Preview: Adelaide United V WS Wanderers 10.04.21

After the match is before the match ... The " bounce back " game. Ryan Strain does the midweek talk. QytwGsiNgv4 B) Yep, I think the performance in this match will indicate to quite a bit in regards to the maturity of the squad overall and if they are a squad of talented kids or a genuine contender...

Re: CC Mariners v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I tend to think this was the exact loss that a promising young squad needed. Such a young squad that is now seemingly competing for the premiership, I cant help but wonder if a win would have lifted their feet on the ground. Instead they showed themselves there is not a team in this league they shou...

Re: New rectangular stadium in Adelaide?

Im plenty happy with himdmarsh as the home of football and this new development will help Adelaide continue growing into the trendy little city that is increasingly becoming known as overseas. It may see the end of the Adelaide entertainment centre in the future freeing up space that can add to the ...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EwWhxWgVgAAw2y0?format=jpg&name=medium Comments left on Kusini Yengi's instagram. Shocking but not surprising from Victory fans. This is the same fanbase that bullied and trolled Josh Hope into retirement and celebrated Mitch Austin getting an ACL injury. Disgraceful. Ap...

Re: RE: Re: Preview: Melbourne Victory - Adelaide United 13.03.31

Funny game isn’t it. Win our next game and we could be clear second (depending on results). But apparently the coach has no idea? Questioning team selection and the apparent freezing out of some experienced long term servants of the club is a far cry from saying the coach has no idea. He's obviousl...

Re: Preview: Melbourne Victory - Adelaide United 13.03.31

I cant help but notice how fickle we are as fans. Nice pick up. Anyone would think this was a football forum, the way we swing about. Ha! Fair call! I like to think we here at watrs hold ourselves to a higher standard though. On a serious note, if it were not for robbie kruse it would be ha...

Re: Preview: Melbourne Victory - Adelaide United 13.03.31

Its nice to see victory struggle, though I cant help but notice how fickle we are as fans.

Only a few weeks ago the overall feeling was the manager had no clue and our players are barely league standard with the owners living in La la land unwilling to pay for talent.

Re: WS Wanderers v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Equal 4th! Not playing particularly pretty but the learning curve for the kids is steep and the talent is clearly there. Its just a question of can they click before the season is gone. With the finishing of Goodwin and both Toure brothers I think we can manage a few smash and grabs to keep us in th...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Many may disagree but Im very impressed with the way the club has handled the recent 12 months! In what has been a trying time for all clubs and leagues around the world AUFC management have pivoted from the “woe is me” mentality that would be very easy to accept during these conditions and instead...

Re: Adelaide United v Brisbane Roar Match Day Jamboree!!!©

The salary cap is designed to reward our home grown players, if Mr Van der Pol is willing to out his hand in his pocket.... Homegrown Players – A Club can spend an unlimited amount on 4 Australian Players aged 23 or younger that have come through the Club’s youth system; Loyalty Players – A Club ca...

Re: Adelaide United v Brisbane Roar Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Im at peace with our bare bones squad heavily weighted towards youth. The reality is the club and leagues future is not certain given the volatility going on around us at the moment which will likely be a constant for a season or two yet. Though this is a reality in every top tier league around the ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Val seems to be sticking up for his boy, as he constantly does for his favourites. Sure the club gave him their blessing to leave, but that was months ago so leaving your hometown club this late in preseason simply to move to another aleague club is a terrible look for him. I am secretly relieved I ...
