Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I also agree kurz style is not the most entertaining, his specialty prior to aufc was relegation battles, he certainly knows how to graft results and it shows. To be fair he has never had much attacking options during his tenure so its hard to say what might be if he had the creative options the big...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Before that goal, everyone around us was bemoaning the lack of change in the side. It was almost like we we were playing on the counter happy to draw. Then George rises from the ashes (pun intended) and all of a sudden Kurz is a king ?? Not for me. One thing I will say though, is leave Marrone at C...

Re: Police at victory games

Yeah the searches were in the hours leading up to the game. Seemed random and with no authority. It also seems the red army capo was a victim of this too and not allowed into the game? Is anyone out there that can fact check this. Brutal if so! It was apparently his last game , moving away from ade...

Re: Police at victory games

Correct me if im wrong , but i thought police cannot conduct a search unless they have reason to suspect you have commited an offence or if you consent to the search?

Obviously conditions of entry do involve a security bag search but thats a little different.

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

All hail king kurz!

Top 4 after 26 games despite routinely being forced to put out a team with half out of position and 2 visa strikers being sent home.

Honestly we should be competing for the spoon! A credit to the manager.

Re: The Election - 2019

Yeah totally agree on everything in your post. The facts vs feelings part of course can be attributed to both sides during different eras of politics, its particularly prevelent currently on the fringe left but there are snowflakes everywhere. Yeah with the franking credits I dont have a side just y...

Re: The Election - 2019

Are you referring to a few more references towards neo-liberalism failing? I don't really feel there is a lot of anti-free market rhetoric flowing around apart from that. Heck we even had a royal commission into the financial services sector and I don't remember even seeing a suggestion from any cr...

Re: The Election - 2019

By the way, I don't believe the "free market" is really free. Correct; any market must be regulated. I more meant that the more individuals motivated to find solutions, the better those solutions become. One problem is the ability of companies and individuals to avoid costs which are then picked up...

Re: The Election - 2019

If you are socially liberal but lean towards the free market then there is a real need to study both the policies and the influence of fringe actors on the major parties. Aint that the truth! Those who fall within the bracket of whats typically considered a “classic liberal” ( not to be confused wi...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Silver lining that has not been mentioned in regard to no reagan and ilso replacements is that the remainder of their salaries get credited for future seasons. ( any money not spent inside the cap can accumulate as credit the following seasons. AFAIK credits last for up to 3 years. It would be inter...

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC

Im not really going to bother with manager rumours, whats the point? Sure it can be all very exciting but its not my first rodeo and im too old for the circus. Reading piets interview it was interesting his intention to continually be a top 3 club. I feel thats very ambitious and will need a helping...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I figured he would have gone back to malaysia next season possibly linking up with Reegs. I doubt malaysia will be keen to have him now. Given south east asias stance on party drugs its fair to say his career in this part of the world is over despite having a big reputation with a potential to earn ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Cocaine us hardly the drug of choice for an athlete trying to get the edge during match day so im not willing to call him a cheat. He more than likely had a big one during the extended round where the players had a weekend off. Either way im not someone who likes to tell others what people can and c...

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC

Its interesting watching the pendulum of public perception shift on every tweet, article and presser. Its worth noting even Gombau had players who were not in support of him. I think its prudent to remain neutral, i will remember kurz for keeping us competitive despite an ever depleted squad. I will...

Re: RE: Re: The Next Coach of AUFC

I think I’m very much in the minority here, but I’m not overly bothered by the end result. The football the last two years has been pretty dire, so hopefully we can get someone in who’ll make us a bit more proactive and entertaining. Would’ve been good to ideal to avoid the public back and forth wh...
