Re: Adelaide United - Newcsatle Jets - Preview 15.03.20

The government are banning gatherings of greater than 500 people...but not until Monday. That doesn't make any sense, sorry for the players but I think I'll do the right thing and stay home. They've got my money for the ticket anyway. Yeah, that sounds sensible. But Scotty from Marketing has to see...

B) [/quote] Blackwood has a slight calf strain but Verbeek criticises him for not treating the injury properly and for not being professional. Marrone is now out injured as well so we now have 7 players (I included Yengi In this) who would normally be in or around the match day squad out injured. [/...

Yeah dribbling around those witches hats is easy but on game day they move and shout obscenities at me and I don't like it at all.

Hopefully a decent crowd turn up. I see the abortion of a sport big bash is on in adelaide the same night. I can see your thought bubble, but I agree with you about that crap is for the kids and anyone who goes along for any other reason than to be a good dad, is a spectator that loves American ove...

Re: Preview: AUFC v Wanderers 27/12/19

It's quite ridiculous to expect athletes to run about in 37-degree heat in a game that goes on for 90 mins. I heard the commentators say that the women's world cup would mean investment to Coopers of $110K. ???? have we got it! Or is it 2 esteemed commentators making it up? - anyway, there'd be no r...

Heard some talk that toures goal was a cross, no way! He looked up and positioned his shoulders in a way that would suggest near post. If we had a visa striker that held up play this well and showed the awareness and lethal striker power as toure we would not believe it, this from a kid who wasnt e...

Re: Adelaide United v Sydney FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Once again the VAR has been an unwelcome intruder. After its trials in Germany, Australia, and France ( that I know of? ). It's now being used in many counties, although now it's being used by the MLS and its right up there with any razzal dazzle that the Yanks love so much. I'm sure that in their e...

Re: CC Mariners v Adelaide United FFA Cup: Semi-final 2019/2020

A great result after a scrappy first half. We always looked the better team. Lovely goals. Nice to see Richards get big for the one on one and make up for getting stuck under Simon's armpit. I'm staggered that some people think Simon didn't deserve a card!!!! He's been doing that his whole career. ...

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC

Probably looking for that striker Marco wanted so bad. I must admit I'm no fan of Ante, every time I hear him on radio or TV he inspires no confidence in me whatsoever. Weve still managed to find some quality but it just takes way too long. The club needs a mini-rebuild of off field staff IMO. Whet...

I was watching a clip about modern day 6s inparticular pirlo, I think it explains kurz tactics quite well. https://youtu.be/2mCUYQQH2dQ Isa is our pirlo or deep lying playmaker, we do not play with a 10 at all, ilso imo a striker who drifts back into the midfield. I think we tend to line up as 4222...

Where's Margus going?
WSW according to Val which would make no sense since Margus is contracted to us for next season while WSW have Janjetovic, Nizic and Suman all contracted for next season
Last I heard he was studying at Uni. That was a while ago mind.

Re: Adelaide United v Perth Glory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

There's little doubt that Perth may have finally cracked it. However, they do have a loose cannon in goal and if we'd been wearing light blue we would have had 2 penalties.
I'm worried about Boland and just hope the new owners get an injury replacement.
