Re: Adelaide United v CC Mariners Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Yared Abetew and Noah Smith are both in the extended squad .. I think Abetew is probably the more highly rated but he didn't have the most confident debut.

Re: Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Opseth looking more and more like an Adelaide special - striker with good pedigree, obviously quality but who just can't seem to bring it on match day. Think we need to cut Opseth some slack, each of the few Scandinavians who've come here struggled early with fitness and form, even a guy like Toiven...

Re: Preview: Brisbane v AUFC : Sat 08/02

According to Wikipedia the youngest A-League player was Alusine Fofanah (WSW) in 2014 - 15 years, 189 days. Would Mo break that record if he made it on the pitch?

Oldest A-League player: Romário (AUFC) in 2006 - 40 years 320 days

Tough break for Konsta - it's definitely a good thing we have Mauk in the squad now

Re: Preview: Brisbane v AUFC : Sat 08/02

Everyone else has a derby. What are we playing for? Santos Head Offices ? fckn johnny-come-latelies can take it from our cold dead hands We share a border. Maybe move the game to Birdsville. The marketing team at FFA can then come up with a fancy name for it. The losing side's state gets Birdsville...

Re: Preview: Brisbane v AUFC : Sat 08/02

Brook & Opseth looked very dangerous in the first half. Brook has a lot of class and I would love to see more of him on the pitch this season. Mauk & Boland in CM both fit & willing. Second half was all kids for AU. Very messy, all trying to rush the play too much, but Mohamed Toure looks quite pro...

Re: FFA

true to a degree, but signs of trouble for the league have been brewing for much longer than that. What if we had a league that was not run by corporate suits or by a small cabal of franchise owners but was supported by a genuine pyramid of grassroots clubs? a guy can dream...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Him and Strain are now forming an understanding that is bearing fruit on our right channel. Yeah wanted to mention this - they are absolutely on the same wavelength, several times Strain played a beautiful ball through for Halloran to run onto. Absolutely rubbish tactics from Mel C though, leaving ...

pretending anyone cares about underage international football. it's the Olympics. These are legit qualifying games, it's not like it's a meaningless friendly. It sucks he got injured but surely a greater exposure to different styles & setups and playing against foreign teams in a variety of ...

Georgie deserves a start, for sure, after his game last week. Keep Toure, Opseth & Boland on the bench.
Hope Konstandopoulos gets some minutes this week as well.

Re: Western United v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Western United really need to organise usage of melb knights ground. We are giving money and adverstising to an AFL club over an NPL club. Insane. And the ground is truly horrible. Absolutely mental that they can't find a rectangular stadium to play in. Knights ground would be perfect. They are get...
