Re: 2018 AFC Champions League

And the winner is Kashima! 0-0 in a packed Azidi leaves Japan's most successful club domestically finally grabbing the continental title. MVP for the tournament went to Yama Suzuki from Kashima, not a bad effort from the 22 y.o. It has been a good ACL and certainly something Adelaide needs to get ba...

Re: 2018 J-League

V-Varen Nagasaki just gave Ange a bit of a life-line with a flat footed goalkeeper followed by missing two gimmes. 0-1 tp F. Marinos. Kawasaki Frontale have taken the league with 2 games remaining. Sanfrecce Hiroshima will be disappointed with the run into the final part of the season. All eyes thou...

Re: “I have faced it a lot,” : Awer Mabil - Socceroo

He is a strong character who has a talent at empowering others. The club has been lucky to have had Awer pass through the ranks and I am looking forward to seeing what he does post-football.

Re: Preview: Adelaide United vs Perth Glory 11.11.18

Incidentally, if Stama has another decent hit-out against Perth (assuming he starts, which must be a reasonable chance) then going forward we may be afforded the luxury of using Baba as a super-sub. That starts to add some serious depth off the bench, especially once Blackwood gets back to match-fit...

Re: Central Coast v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

That being said Ilso is not a traditional 10 so our expectations may need to be altered as to what his role is under kurz. We certainly wont see him playing the same way carussca has for example He plays the whistle rather than waiting for the foul to be called; I like that, It is a hunger that is ...

Re: Central Coast v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Thought that CCM had a fair shout for a pen for that handball.
Chest onto the post, the rebound off the post makes it look like it came off his outstretched arm. I thought it was a penalty as well until I saw the slo-mo via VAR.

Re: Central Coast v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Great effort, though Mariners' defensive performance must make their fans somewhat gloomy. still, we had some nice movement through the midfield and Galloway & Goody seem to have an understanding that is yielding results,

Stama was given a chance and took it; well done.

Re: "Football Leaks"- Der Spiegel.

The thing that worries me about this is that it is all about the money, not the football. There is no romance in this proposal, simply cash at the expense of domestic leagues. Without an emotive foundation I am not sure how long such a league would prosper, particularly after some big clubs spend a ...
