Re: Matildas

One for the ages, that's for sure.

Great to see Mary Fowler bag her first goal. Not a bad time to do it!

Re: Olyroos

Egypt tonight. A draw will get us through however we need to play for the win; seeking a draw is inviting disaster. No McGree, Atkinson or Duke tonight. McGree and Atkinson have been key in our past two games and will be sorely missed. Duke has been playing possibly the best I've ever seen, however ...

Re: Matildas

0-0 which is a result that suits both sides and they looked like they played that way near the end. I think 3rd place was a realistic result now we wait to see who we take on! Great Britain. We will need to be careful with White as she is good at suckering in the ref, particularly in and around the...

Re: Matildas

0-0 with the Yanks which should be sufficient to make it to the next round, however as a match it was a cure for insomniacs.

Re: EURO - 2020 - wall to wall football.

So sad to see the fall out from the England fans following the loss. Both online with the hate towards the penalty missers and the violence outside the ground. People were standing outside the gate where Italian fans were exiting to lay into them. Apparently a child was punched in the face. It's fu...

Re: Random Music Thread

Looks like it has to be a bit of Italian indie rock this time round.

Re: EURO - 2020 - wall to wall football.

England took the early lead and then decided to sit back and defend it.
It was never going to work.

B)
Not sure that was the plan, rather a reaction from young players who were facing a technically superior midfield. They will learn from the experience.

Italy worthy winners in the end.

3-2 against Cumberland in Mt Barker today.

Mo, Yull and Dukuly scored with Yull’s goal direct from a corner.
Nice. It seems the ship is being steadied; we appeared to have speed wobbles for a moment there.

Re: Who's signed for next season

We have plenty of options up front and out wide. I don't like losing Pacifique as I feel we are little light on creativity. however what is done is done. Everyone, every year, calls out for a creative #10; it's becoming a mantra. Personally I prefer a CM that can pick that killer moment of transitio...

Re: Qatar 2022 Qualifiers - AFC

Draw has occurred and the two groups are: Group 1: Iran, South Korea, UAE, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon Group 2: Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, China, Oman, Vietnam Interesting groups with Group 1 arguably having more even sides with Group 2 some of the form teams. Group 1 will be hard to predict as both I...

Re: Who's signed for next season

So far the only player i'm really dissapointed in losing is Strain and to a lesser extent Pacifique, the rest have either not proven themselves on the training track or proven to not be good enough at senior level to compete with the best teams. Other than that we need to remember we are owned by a...
