Re: Western United v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Western United really need to organise usage of melb knights ground.
We are giving money and adverstising to an AFL club over an NPL club. Insane. And the ground is truly horrible.
Was it offered? I get the feeling Western were casting about for a site so may well have approached the Knights.

Re: 2020 AFC Champions League

Final play-offs tomorrow night and we have: Al-Ain (UAE) v Bunyodkor (UZB) - I want Bunyodkor to win but they will have to play their socks off away from home Al-Ahli (SAU) v Istiklol (TAJ) - again, I'd love to see the Tajiks through but they have even less fire-power than Bunyodkor Al-Sailiya (QTR)...

Our Great Leader talks to the media after the match.

I love the bit where he looks into the camera and tells Fox not to edit his comments :D

It appears the February Olympic qualifiers have been moved from China to Sydney due to the coronavirus.

Re: 2020 AFC Champions League

In the end the Iranians have agreed to play their 1st three group stage games away to give time for the political situation to calm.

Meanwhile Shanghai FC are facing Buriram in China with the game played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus.

Internet is awful here, so barely able to read the updates. It seems there are more goals to come in this match.

Re: Olyroos

Still a chance to make the Olympics if we win the 3rd place playoff?
Yes, it is either us or the Uzbeks.

The Olyroos' midfield desperately need McGree and Arzani. D'Arrigo wouldn't go astray either.

Re: Preview: Western United V Adelaide United 26/01/20

Why do we have to travel east to play Western United? Because according to those on the East Coast, everything West of the Great Dividing Range is either "Africa" or "Here Be Dragons". Do they have the worst shirts in the league, home and away? I don't mind the colours but cringe at the fact the bl...

Re: ASEAN Club Championship

Looks like it is going ahead and we either haven't been invited to the party or declined to attend. Quite possibly the latter given the costs involved for Australian clubs. It is a pity as I would have loved to have seen the NPL Champions get to play. The competition appears to be in the champions l...

Re: 2020 AFC Champions League

Big day today. Let's hope Victory don't embarrass us in the ACL.............again. I dare say they will. Perth should be good value though. They have a lovely combination of a coach who knows how to win the thing, a side that is playing well and a fan base starved of continental football. They aren'...

Re: I-League

Mohun Bagan has merged with ISL club ATK and has joined the ISL. It is a huge moment for the ISL as Mohun Bagan are 130 years old and bring a gigantic supporter base to the competition. Mohun Bagan were pretty well on their knees financially and ATK unable to attract the fans so the merger should su...

2020 AFC Champions League

2020 has started already with Ceres Negros defeating Shan United and Bali United defeating Tampines Rovers in the first Preliminary Round (East). Tomorrow Victory play Bali United in the 2nd Preliminary Round to see who proceeds to the play-off to face Kashima Antlers. The big news though is Iran th...
