Re: Preview: Brisbane Roar v AUFC 25.04.19

matt mckay will go for the kill. no coNsequence if he coos a red as its his last game.
I suspect it will be quite the opposite. He'll want to be remembered as a clean footballer, so is likely to be overly cautious if anything. Lots of helping people up and patting heads; that sort of thing.

Re: Bruce Djite Retires - Appreciation Thread

Quite possibly the most articulate footballer to ply their trade in the A-League.

I am looking forward to see what he gets up to next.

Preview: Brisbane Roar v AUFC 25.04.19

ANZAC Day match and last match of the regular season.

Brisbane looked utterly flat against the Jets so I imagine will be coming into the match with a week's worth of bollocking from the coaching staff, fans and media. Expect some hard and wayward tackles.

Re: The Back-Blocks of Asia

The Pakistan Football Federation appears mired in, well itself, which is resulting in inaction from all concerned. The President & General Secretary were removed in December after an election that was the result of a court ruling. This wasn’t recognized by FIFA and turmoil has resulted as there are ...

Re: HAL Season 2018/19 - Other Matches

Brisbane looked listless against Newcastle last night. The Mariners recorded a decent win against Wanderers however quite a number of reckless challenges occured and Baumjohann is lucky to not have a broken leg. Deperation and fight is fine, but you require controlled aggression. 2019/20 could be a ...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

We could get a couple more years out of Micheal Marrone at Center half.
He now looks really good in the position, though it took a couple of nervy games.

Also Strain is looking solid at RFB so it would be great to see him rewarded by keeping that position for the remainder of the season.

Re: HAL Expansion

On HAL expansion, it seems rather likely that the NT isn't going to be getting a side in either the HAL or a second tier anytime soon. Should AUFC be investing more time in promoting itself as a club that the NT can follow given the history between NT and SA? Perhaps with an expanded league and more...

MV should have had the goal, though it was delivered by a player that should have been off the pitch.

Honda should not still be on.
That high tackle should have been penalised.
Indeed. We should be playing against 10 men.

Ye Gods we had some aimless balls forward that half! Still, the high press was fantastic.
