Re: Preview: Brisbane Roar v AUFC 19/07/20

Is this for real? You beauty mate! COME ON UNITED!!! B) Simon Hill for the Guardian ... To understand the latest existential crisis facing football in Australia, one must start at its genesis, which strangely coincided with the game’s highest point in recent memory. In January 2015, the Socceroos li...

Re: Season’s finished?

No way out ... At Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport, the players from Victoria’s three A-League teams – Melbourne Victory, Melbourne City and Western United – stood, idling. The plane did too. In Canberra, the weather worsened. The message came through – no. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/j...

Re: Bundesliga 20/21

By the way ex-AU player James Holland plays for LASK. B) He seems to have featured a fair bit this season including a lot of Europa League games. I wonder if that helps his Socceroos chances? He is a fixed starter in the first 11 and going by form and first team playing time IMO he should figure fo...

Re: RE: Re: Season’s finished?

The 3 clubs have been granted an exemption to travel into NSW.
Canberra want them to do a two week period of quarantine, so the departure has been delayed again.

Time to swallow the bullet and can the season.

Oh boy, it's getting weirder everywhere.

Re: Season’s finished?

Victoria lock down ... Teams stuck in Melbourne. The resumption of the A-League season has been thrown into doubt after the competition’s three Victorian teams, Melbourne City, Melbourne Victory, and Western United, failed to make it into New South Wales before the border was closed to Melbourne res...

Re: Bundesliga 20/21

And Bremen score at 90+4' followed closely by a Heidenheim penalty! 2-2, and the whistle goes. With 2 away goals it will be Werder Bremen making up the last position for 20/21. Good news for Yuya Osako (assuming he stays at Bremen), less so for the romantics who'd have loved to have Heidenheim in t...

Re: Bundesliga 20/21

Yes, it looks like he is ready to follow Haaland and Minamino out of RB Salzburg to a bigger club. What ever you think of the RedBull concept they sure know how to bring players through. By the way RB Salzburg just won their 8th Austrian league title on the trot. As an interesting side note, the Lin...

2023 sounds like a good year to come down again.

Re: Episode 6: Return of the Reds, guys.

Stefan Mauk speaks good things to the press! I feel confident. OZxhkcKh4rM don't worry about competing against other codes just worry about ourselves ... Stefan Mauk also believes the quality of football will be higher in a winter season due to the fact they won't be playing in 35° heat. Quite logic...
