Re: RE: Re: Perth Glory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!![emoji2398]

I've gone right off Verbeek now. Despite the losses the team isn't playing awful, but for him to criticise the quality of his players two weeks in a row just doesn't help the confidence going forward. I'd say his pet player Maria look a bit out of his depth at left back too, perhaps neither are rea...

Re: Perth Glory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!![emoji2398]

I didn't watch the game but just in the comments re our young squad, I'm all for it and am happy with the young players we've got. That said, in times when we are now 4 losses on the trot, we need some experience to come in and settle the team and get us playing consistent footy. A bad run of result...

Re: Sydney vs Adelaide United Match Day Jamborree!!!©

Hate hearing excuses like this from the coach. Sure talk about it in private or amongst the backroom staff but not in interviews.

I don't watch premier league post-match interviews but do coaches of the 'poorer' teams use money as an excuse? The money is much more of a disparity there than here.

Re: Preview: AUFC v Wanderers 27/12/19

I thought I saw an article saying Hindmarsh would get $3m for the WWC but it would only be for temporary seating (corners) and upgraded media facilities (also temporary). No covers over any of the stands. Edit - here's the article: https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/football/hindmarsh-stadium-set-...

I'm flogging a dead horse now but no McGree, no Adelaide United.

3 (very, very lucky) points from the last 12 against bottom 4 teams, 3 of which were played at home.

Re: Adelaide United v WS Wanderers Match Day Jamborree!!!©

Toure should have 3.
Elsey at fault for the goal but has been out for weeks so is still blowing out cobwebs.
Nikola having a field day down the left.
We should be heading into half time with a comfortable lead against ten men but that's football.

We lost to the bottom placed team. Any criticism is deserved.

Re: Preview Rd 11: AUFC vs Central Coast

Some big outs but McGree is the biggest. This will be our third game without him however so we should have adjusted to his absence. Don't mind a mid of Lia and D'Arrigo with Troisi at 10. Although we may see a mid of Maria, D'Arrigo, Troisi with Kitto back to LB. We are gonna need to play better tha...

Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season

His most recent role was General manager. I have no idea what that that role would entail! Just like I have no idea what's the difference between a Head Coach and a Manager. My understanding is that Managers get a say in a lot more within the club such as club signings, staff appointments etc. Head...

Re: Preview Rd 11: AUFC vs Central Coast

Arguably our worst two games of the season were against Welly and Newcastle. Against Welly, McGree was carrying a knee injury, had strapping on it, was clearly not at his best and was withdrawn at 75". Against Newcastle he didn't play and we got away with daylight robbery. Now he is out again for CC...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Val had just posted that he was the 'man behind' the Reds' revival [emoji1]

I can't read the article because it's behind a pay wall but that is some A grade baloney.

Feel like he hasn't contributed a lot so getting someone new in would be good.

Disappointed Owen Goal wont get an opportunity to find some form this week, he's been missing all season.
