Re: 2021 AU NPL Season
Sounds like the restrictions on the NPL side have be reduced and more fringe A-league player should see more game time. This is a great step forward. The game has lost so many promising talents to a lack of decent game time.

Re: New rectangular stadium in Adelaide?
Disappointing but hardly unexpected. I think doubling the cost of the stadium to accommodate Football would be a pretty big overspend. But I've really got to question the figures in the first place if they are looking at $700m for a 15,000 seater venue. Bankwest in West Syd only cost $360m for build...

Where is the hub? I presume Doha or Dubai.

Re: China's plan for football domination could transform the HAL
I haven't read a lot about Yongbin. I think the club could have done more to explain why he was here and if the scheme to share players such as this is something they are aiming to build upon. It would be great to hear from Yongbin in some capacity to see if he and Qinqdao feel his time in Adelaide ...

Re: China's plan for football domination could transform the HAL
Hopefully as the flash in the pan clubs fall away this gives AU's sister club more scope to slowly build! I still feel there is a massive potential once the world returns to some sort of normal that younger AU players struggling for decent game time would benefit greatly from a loan move to Qingdao ...

Re: Who's signed for next season
Most of us are calling for more experience in the centre of the park. Jaunde certainly has that! No doubt we'd all rather a player to cover what Troisi should have offered AU but if he's fit, I think he would be a good addition to the squad. As we can tell by Carl's comments when the previous visa p...

Re: WS Wanderers v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©
Can someone take out Troisi please? I can't imagine Mauk trying anything! 8) Dream result: Mauk niggles Troisi, he has a brain explosion and lashes out, gets a red. AU win 2-1 with Tomi 89th min winner, giving the WSW fans some love with this shhh celebration. I'd love the other goal to come from a...

Re: Who's signed for next season
If he's the same player he was a couple of years ago, and he's injury-free, I'd take him. Step up from our current midfield. Given the level he’s been playing at not to mention he’s 33, it’s highly unlikely he’ll be anywhere near the player he once was. How does the German 4th tier compare to the A...

https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/toure-brothers-link-with-patrick-vieira-s-agent-to-fast-track-european-futures I like the way their father is speaking. Fingers crossed they view their time with AU as a key stepping stone and not a place holding them back. I believe its a fine line between jumping o...

Re: Where are they now?
Sadly if we had to dough that Victory or Sydney have a player like Johan would have played for AU for a much longer time I feel.Johan Absalonsen retired a month or so ago.
I guess he'll go down as one of our "streets will never forget" players.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I thought that the plan was that Goodwin would be reinvented as our (new) CAM, given that we have plenty of good, fast wingers and wing backs already? Surely we need him to fill an existing hole, not add to the riches that we already have out wide? I haven't heard that. I think Goody as a #10 would...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season
Bruce just mentioned that they're still talking to a few midfielders, and expects someone to sign in this window still. He said it may be a box to box or defensive mid... It seems like they didn't capture the attacking mid they wanted and now we are looking for anything. Better than nothing I guess...
