Re: Ben Better in Red: Folami Ready to Face Former Club in Original Rivalry Showdown

I would say this was his best performance so far. Still work to be done but hes on an upward trajectory I feel. Hopefully he continues to improve and based on his comments post game, it doesn't sound like there is much desire to move back East. Gotta disagree with you Stuckey. I thought he was bang...

Re: Who's signed for next season

While I was searching for Klomp I thought I would check in on how Julian Kwaaitaal is doing at FC Eindhoven. So far this season he's managed 14 appearances for 367 mins of games, which averages out to be 26 mins per appearance. No goals or assists so far to speak of.

Re: Who's signed for next season

I hope it’s not the end of Elsey though. We need more than just 3 first team CB’s and I think he has a role to play when he’s back fit. Yeah that is true. touch wood Vriends stays fit but he does have a bit of a record of breaking down. I would probably label Isa as the 4th CB now that the centre o...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I've heard on good authority that Awer won't be signed by AU this window. He's training with the squad but looking for another gig overseas. Thanks EdDog. I'm glad we've been willing and able to help him like that. Yeah the club has tried to keep a good relationship with a lot of former players. We...

Re: Who's signed for next season

We have a new trialist! Dutch CB Daan Klomp is currently on trial and apparently attended the match last night. He is 26 years old and had the past few seasons playing for Calvary FC in Canada. In 2023 and 2023, he won the CPL Defender of the year award while in 2023, he won the CPL Player of the Y...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

On the balance of play I would say it wasn't exactly a deserved win but I'm not complaining! I think if MV took the opportunities provided they could have scored 5. Very special to not only get the win, but to send AU top as well. The cherry on top is that so much of the positive play was again for ...

Great news for him especially with Awer in the side hopefully a familiar face will help Nestory.

Re: Macarthur FC v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Dukuly presented a decent case for having a starting spot next week.

I kinda like him coming on in the 2nd half to run at tiring defenders.
But yes he was good tonight.

B)
I agree I love Dukuly coming on with 20 to go. I feel this will be his role while Folami and Ayoubi are available.

Re: RE: Re: CC Mariners v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!![emoji2398]

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We still haven’t played anyone in the top 6. Sydney next week will give us a clearer indication of where we stand. Thankfully we’ll have the Red Army helping sing us to victory. CCM is the reigning Champions. A win over them on their turf in that manner is not insi...

Re: CC Mariners v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

What an incredible game and result! Is there much more we could have asked for?! Beat the reigning champions on their turf, goals from Goodwin and Dukuly to boost their confidence. Big contributions from the kids (who IMO a successful season is hinged on) and from what I gather no injuries. Hopefull...

Re: Newcastle Jets v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Yet another prime example of not taking chances early in the match coming back to (almost) biting AU. The game should have been over a 30 mins. That said to see the side fight a graft to get the result once down to 10 men was great to see. Lets just get a good lead next time and not have to test the...

Re: 2026 AFC Qualifiers

Hopefully for our sake we can finally string some results together with 2 win-able games coming up. Then Japan do us a favour knocking the Saudis off at home. If that takes place then that should see Japan qualified and then hopefully they'll send their B team to Aus in June and if we win that game ...
