Re: AFC Champions League 2021

I am not looking forward to the fall-out from this. Considering the cream of the crop is off on Socceroos duty. Maybe calling off the finals would have been a choice? Maybe test the waters towards doing away with the finals all together so we focus more on the club with the most points after an ent...

AFC Champions League 2021

So all A-League sides have pulled out due to the finals series being run at the same time. Just another parting gift for the heroes at Fox Sports sitting on their hands for weeks while to game waited to get the season started.

Re: Josh Cavallo

Just another example of a club providing a young player with enough game time to get settled. Very glad to see him re-sign.

Re: Bruce Djite

Never a bombshell that Bruce would go on to new things. I hope his direction and legacy lives on with the club as they strive to be the playground of future Socceroos.
If they start looking for candidates of who to build a statue of in front of Hindmarsh. Bruce would be top of my list.

Strips could be a little weird if 'Nix play in red and we play in yellow.
Haha yes that's odd!

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Finally caught the game. Who would have thought early on in the season we'd be disappointed to come home from a Sydney game with only a draw. With players out still surely more is still to come from the side!

Re: "European Super Leauge" - 2021

Classic big business taking self interest all the way to the roll out stage only to finally be forced to listen to what the wider community has to say and realise their idea was terrible from the get go. Your club is millions in debt? Well maybe stop all these secret international meetings and you'l...

Re: 2021 AU NPL Season

Sounds like the restrictions on the NPL side have be reduced and more fringe A-league player should see more game time. This is a great step forward. The game has lost so many promising talents to a lack of decent game time.

Re: New rectangular stadium in Adelaide?

Disappointing but hardly unexpected. I think doubling the cost of the stadium to accommodate Football would be a pretty big overspend. But I've really got to question the figures in the first place if they are looking at $700m for a 15,000 seater venue. Bankwest in West Syd only cost $360m for build...

Re: China's plan for football domination could transform the HAL

I haven't read a lot about Yongbin. I think the club could have done more to explain why he was here and if the scheme to share players such as this is something they are aiming to build upon. It would be great to hear from Yongbin in some capacity to see if he and Qinqdao feel his time in Adelaide ...

Re: China's plan for football domination could transform the HAL

Hopefully as the flash in the pan clubs fall away this gives AU's sister club more scope to slowly build! I still feel there is a massive potential once the world returns to some sort of normal that younger AU players struggling for decent game time would benefit greatly from a loan move to Qingdao ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Most of us are calling for more experience in the centre of the park. Jaunde certainly has that! No doubt we'd all rather a player to cover what Troisi should have offered AU but if he's fit, I think he would be a good addition to the squad. As we can tell by Carl's comments when the previous visa p...
