Re: Adelaide United v Perth Glory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

South melbourne are the only club in a position to do it, and even then they fail to pay employees and would run a high risk of poor fan behaviour and engagement with non greeks. I do believe that canberra will soon be added and can only hope tasmania too. Looking at the last years of nsl, what do ...

WATRs Player of the 2018/19 Season - HAL R22

Couldn't agree more (except for the part about Carrusca).
If AU striker's were pet dogs, the midfield would have the RSPCA pressing charges for neglect and starvation.

Love the new kit! I'm overdue for a new national team jersey. Glad to see they'll be making men's sizes!

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC

I feel like Kurz will walk at season's end. If so, we should target Stajcic. If we are going the local route, my vote would be for valkanis. He seems like a total student of the game looking to broaden his football knowledge and is currently assistant at PEC Zwolle in holland. His stint as caretake...

Re: HAL Expansion

There seems to be a lot of positivism coming from the 2nd tier of the game. IMO this has been required for a long time. It's all well and good for that level to demand change and inclusion, but until lately the level appeared very amateur and I'm sure there is a lot of people in power that would req...

WATRs Player of the 2018/19 Season - HAL R21

Disappointing result but I was happy to see AU take the game so heavily to Sydney at home.

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United Matchday Jamboree!!!©

Haha how good is the MOTD theme song! COYRs!!! Really don't know what to expect out of tonight. AU would be ready to battle, but with the ref allow AU to battle? Sydney have been lousy of late but you can't keep a squad like that down too long. IMO with Boland and Thomassen with a few games under th...

Re: Who's signed for next season

This is apparently the Cb we were looking to sign as cover https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Aurtenetxe 72 la liga appearances , now 27 and playing for comets in the NPL. Reportedly money was not the issue, my guess is we offered a 6 month deal and he wanted longer so decided to take a gamble and...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I agree it would be great to see aufc offer longer term deals for the kids, but then we reach an impossible impasse due to the cap. Offer a long term deal to the current kids and risk missing out on a Mabil and Mcgree the year later due to having already committed valuable roster positions and cap ...

Re: Pacifique

I think putting the kids in at the wrong time can be equally damaging for their confidence and moral . Its a huge step from youth league to aleague. Absolutely. Only problem is if a club sits and waits for the planets to align for a player to get game time that may never occur. I wonder what happen...

Re: Where are they now?

So Sergi Guardiola's career has gone from strength to strength since leaving AU! According to his wiki page. He signed a contract with a buy out clause of €15 million! That was with Segunda side Cordoba. Last season he went on to score 22 goals in the Spanish 2nd Div. He has now signed in the Jan wi...

Re: Adelaide United v WS Wanderers Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Far out 45 entries into the area and Janjetavic was barely tested. Another game AU were 3 goals up at HT. Very unlucky really. Very disappointing though to see AU go 5 points clear of City in 5th place.

Re: Adelaide United v WS Wanderers Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Kitto's got to put that away.

Also how did he not get a fk?
Ref's payback for missing the goal?
Fairo haha
I do wonder if refs think that way. Do something dumb then get fouled. Nah mate you don't deserve that!
