Re: Coronavirus Football Cancellations

Hopefully the hysteria dies down soon as people begin to see that the mortality rate of Corona virus is roughly the same to the normal flu season (which is what I've heard). I caught swine flu back when that was a news story. By the time I caught it wasn't even a concern for the doctors. I do unders...

Re: WS Wanderers v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

It's only Perth's bad patch and Melb City's inconsistency that have kept us in touch with 2nd place. Realistically we are a 4th-6th place team this year, and a 4th-6th placed club in the overall scheme of the A-League. Occasionally we'll punch above our weight and finish higher or have a disaster o...

Re: Copa90- Derby days, Lombardia

Rivalries develop organically. There is nothing organic about our franchises, any kind of fan culture is very quickly stamped out . As the documentary demonstrates, fan culture is what keeps these rivalries and clubs together. It keeps people coming back for the culture not for any one player or la...

Re: Copa90- Derby days, Lombardia

Its certainly tough to manufacture rivalries like this. They don't just pop up over night obviously.. Europe has the closeness of neighbours and such a richness of culture that as I experienced living in London that you can live in separate suburbs of the same city and be completely different people...

Re: Could we see and all Adelaide 11?

Personally I don't feel the need to see a 100% SA side. I love seeing the club developing players in fact I almost get more joy seeing these kids being given a go and them succeeding as I do seeing AU win trophies. But we're playing the world game here. Shutting ourselves off completely to other foo...

More a disappointing display than result. So lethargic going forward. A sharp, fit striker would be nice. But the amount of chances created wasn't enough.

What a poor, disappointing result. Imagine if we had a competent striker, just imagine.
I'd just take a fit one!

Wrong thread..

Well, I'd rather see a young kid score than Kitto's handball go for a pen.

Re: Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Are we reading anything into Verbeek giving Mileusnic the very cold shoulder there as he went to the bench?
I think it's a pretty clear example of someone being dragged. His body language even before he crossed the line wasn't great.
