Re: Gone and hopefully forgotten
Some, like Alan Buckley at Grimsby (his 2nd spell), Luigi Simoni at Genoa (replicated his first), etc worked out well. Not just Kendall's return, even Eddie Gray at Leeds would fit in there- his first spell (1982-85) *nearly* pulled off a return based on bringing in the youth through.

Re: Gone and hopefully forgotten
In the short term this will fire either way. Kosmina will get them fired up for sure. But I know from experience, and have been burned by Howard Kendall's second and third comings, that make me cynical.

Re: Potential new coach?
Firstly, we've seen that local coaches are actually very good. That's what we've always wanted to be proven. But what are Adelaide United's needs now? Surely proven experience and inspiration?

Re: How good is Rini?
add to that the incidents last night that saw fans turn on fans... it's near panic stations i believe. that's not what i like to see, that's not the Club i support, that's not the AU i knew... I for one am not the least bit surprised. Adelaide Utd has always had a fractured supporter base, only tha...

Re: How good is Rini?
I care because I want to see the league do well and a successful AU is crucial to it. Fans have a right to stand up for what's right and demand answers.

Re: How good is Rini?
Worse results = less crowds = less money = BAD publicity for the whole league.

Re: How good is Rini?
He inherited the team Vidmar left, and fooled everyone by the way it all started well. Then it was broken up, and he has been screwing up ever since. I agree we have one of the best squads on paper. Rini said tonight we were full strength and we lose 3 nil to the bottom team who had 10 men for the f...

Re: Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree !
The current unbeaten run against MV is intact. However, both teams showed why they are down there rather than challenging.

Re: Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners Match Day Jambo
My hope was that new owners and a new manager would give Adelaide United a new approach, and not the "pissant" mentality that bogs the club down. Instead, we see the pissant mentality still evident, and I can't see fans having any unity if this continues.

Re: Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners Match Day Jambo
Sorry BC, last nights game was not an isolated incident. We have had our first choice striker and midfielder for the majority of the games this season, and it just been the ineptness of the oppostion that we did'nt get clobbered in those games. (Perth, Sydney, Heart and even the jets) We had a full...

Re: Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners Match Day Jambo
The worst performance by the worst team in AU history . Feckless, skilless and less than amatuerish, a scratch side taken from fans in the stand could have done better. Eugene was our best player!!!!!!! what does that say about a club that gets flogged 4 nil. (and could have easily been more) Coole...

Re: Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners Match Day Jambo
The running and work of a vastly improved Hughes complimenting the silky skills of Flores... and Vidosic while a quality pick up is no classic #10. Even if Dodd and Pantelis' "time was up", keeping Hughes and Flores would have made a big difference.
