Re: Adelaide United v Macarthur FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I hate losing these big games to the new teams with zero history and tradition. They had 2 fans ffs! Those 2 fans would have had a great evening. What a finish to the game They had more than 2 supporters there. When they scored each of their two goals a section of the crowd on the western side (sou...

Re: Adelaide United v Macarthur FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

masterstroke taking off 2 of our best players in Mauk & Clough & leaving us without a midfield eh This. And this. And, yep, this. And our captain (love Kitto but he's no captain) failing to give the penalty ball to Jovanovic. I'm pretty sure everyone in the stadium who knew anything about football ...

Re: Adelaide United v Macarthur FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Good crowd. 12,500. Great TIFO. Well done Red Army. Irankunda scored a brilliant goal and set up so many chances with balls pulled back from the byline to players who just had to hit the ball on target, and either missed or their shot was blocked in the six yard box. Two mistakes - (1) I never felt ...

Believe!!!!
At 2-0 I said to my wife “This team gives me heart attacks”.
As soon as we pulled one back I felt like we were going to win.
Great effort, especially in that heat.

Very good game from Irankunda too! Didn’t score himself, but so influential.

Re: Perth Glory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

The first of five games in nineteen days, that's one game every 3.8 days. Looks like we're safe from the wooden spoon but finals are probably a step too far. The squad is going to be stretched. Results have all gone for us this weekend. WSW lost, Macarthur lost, Melbourne City lost, & now (by far &...

Come on you Reds!!!

(Timing of this game is really bad for me. I’ll watch the first half live and then hope I can access the second half on Paramount+ at about 8:30 to watch the rest.)

Re: A-League Men 2023/24

Brisbane beat the Wallies and our season stays alive.
And as a bonus, Western Utd beat Macarthur.
Now we just need … I can barely write it … Victory to beat City.
(Oh and for us to beat Perth & our game in hand Western.)

Well, thank you Melbourne Victory.

Adelaide United 4-1 Western United

Game over.
Good start to the Easter long weekend!

Have a good one all.

B)
Amen to that.
Peace everyone!

(Because there wasn’t much peaceful behaviour out on the field tonight.)

Anyone care to comment on a pulsating game?

Re: Adelaide United v Western United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Down to our last CB … again. Whole team working hard. Can Isaias and Mauk keep it up for another 45 minutes? I doubt it. Clough’s third shot that just missed … either has to tip it through for Irankunda’s run or score. His miss then was inexcusable for our marquee man. Mind you he’s worked hard this...

Re: Adelaide United v Western United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

What would your team be?

Maybe Yull for Alagich (but I see them pretty similarly at the moment - still improving).
Maybe Jovanovic for Ibusuki (but he hasn’t made himself undroppable).
Maybe Bovalina for Lopez (but Lopez is better defensively and still gives some presence in attack).

Re: Australia World Cup 2026 Journey!

I'd love to see more fringe Socceroos and debutants in the next two games.
Who would you like to see?

Re: Australia World Cup 2026 Journey!

Final two games in Stage 2 are: 6 June Bangladesh (A) 11 June Palestine (H) Today’s win guarantees us 1st or 2nd in our group, so we’ve qualified for Stage 3 already. Top two teams of the 9 groups go into 3 x 6 team groups for Stage 3. Top 2 of each of those Stage 3 groups go to the World Cup. (Othe...

Re: Australia World Cup 2026 Journey!

Lebanon keeper under pressure puts it out for a throw. His defence is upfield and Australia have players forward, so the keeper falls to the ground for no reason, in order to stop play. 🤷‍♂️
