Re: 2018/19 Season Could be AUFC most important

At the 1/2 Way point we see AUFC without a striker. We hear them talking to another coach even though the current coach has done a excellent job with the players he has and the injuries he has had to deal with. To this stage the new owners have seemed good but it's this time that we will see what th...

2018/19 Season Could be AUFC most important

I’ve been an Adelaide United Fan from the very beginning. As many long term fans we’ve been through many highs and low. To me the worse period of time was the last ownership. Although their intentions for the club may have been good, they did a lot of damage to the fan base. This blame cannot just b...

Re: Matmour Out .... Cahill In?

Why would you not go where the money is. It's not like he has many years left. Timmy is smart it will be a balance between the two. Money and sufficient game time. I hope all works out for Timmy and our sake.

Re: Gombau to WSW

Best of luck to Gombau. An absolute legend. I am just barely an AUFC supporter these days as become sick of the behind the scenes bullsh#t. It's also becoming very hard to support the A-League in general. I'm hoping for a successful 2 Div. All stakeholders need to wake up before no-ones left. Past p...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Is Carusca worth the risk at any price? Remember if we sign him that means someone else who may shine misses out. To me it really depends on which Carusca we sign because based on the Carusca we saw last year we are better off without him, It's so hard with him. The fact he is an Aussie now and we m...

Re: Who's signed for next season

The fact that Carusca is still an uncontracted player speaks for itself. Even at $60,000 Carusca is still a risk. With Carusca it's not about the money it's the risk of what type of player he will be. Carusca in the past shows he can get totally lost in a game. He does not seem a player that will fi...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Unfortunately Chelo falls into the same category as Dodd and Cassio. Two great player's that just could not understand that their careers are ending. Look how it ended for both these players. Chelo most likely will do the same way. Chelo at most is a impact player. The biggest benefit Chelo can offe...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I've bagged AUFC alot lately but must give credit where credit is due.
Great signing AUFC, lets hope the VISA players coming in match or exceed this signing. If so we could be in a a good season.

Re: 2017 FFA Cup Round 32 AU v Newcastle

very average side Eddog, hope it improves a lot more than 2 visa signings!
Your been very kind. Even with Mullen and new Visa player this looks like a wooden spooners team. I hope I am wrong.

Re: What is going on at this club

Are we meant to be signing players now. Griffin told me that occurs in Jan only. Maybe someone should inform him. Really hoping for Div 2 to come. I think I will no longer follow AUFC then and just follow the new Div 2 team. This club has really become such a joke.

Re: Who's signed for next season

I visit this thread every day to see if we have signed anyone.

Everyday I leave disappointed.
Don't stress history shows we don't sign decent players till the Jan Transfer window. We may be lucky to fill our squad with going cheap sales just as the season starts.
Still early days for AUFC.

Re: 2017 FFA Cup Round 32 AU v Newcastle

MMM what a mickey mouse club. This is going to be another loss for AU. Not treating the cup seriously since we won it. This situation is becoming very typical of the penny pinching club we have become. No signings until the last minute. How is a team going to jell if they don't have sufficient time....

Re: Adelaide United - General Issues and Discussion

Well said Jessesdad. I too was a fanatical fan of AUFC. These days although I still watch the games on Foxtel I feel my connection to the club is no longer there. I am also starting to question why follow AUFC when I can follow any other club and watch better quality football. To me following a club...

Re: 2017 Summary (The highs & Lows)

Stuckey AUFC have Ocheing as a defender so I left him as a defender. You are right though he has played as a winger. As for Claws comment. Our squad this year has been woeful. Who is to blame? Coach or management? Looking at the squad we have and as stated we had 11 out of our squad youth players mo...
