Re: Goodwin

“Craig had a very high load with the Socceroos playing those two games (against Ecuador) with a short turnaround,” he said. “It was maybe a little bit surprising that he played so much in the two games considering the injury that he has been nursing before the World Cup. “It’s an injury that is sti...

Re: AUFC: Back in Asia?

Very close to securing this one.

Whilst the prize money is woeful (remember G.Griffith threatening to pull out?) The exposure is great.

If only the SA Govt and various business' (Thomas Foods) knew of the potential.

Re: New Owners?

The funny but to me is that this Ned chap seems like he would have been ideal in the Pelligra, multi-sport, multi-club conglomerate they've been amassing.

The China thing wouldn't be baggage if they were in CSL or Chinese League1...... So best work on that.

Re: AUFC vs Sadney - preview

They are struggling, sure but they have some individual quality which is always dangerous. Mak, Lolley, LaFondre, Rodwell, Caballo, these guys have played in top leagues and are quality, if aged.

I'm guessing we'll be without Isa, which is ok if Barnett is back.

Should be a bumper crowd.

The last loss was 4 - 0 away to CCM. We were terrible then. What a change since then.

Jan 7, sheesh.

Re: WS Wanderers v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I'll happily take a 2 - 1 away win at this point. I can't see us keeping WSW scoreless with Brandon Borello in the form that he is in. Equally, I can't see them keeping our frontline out for more than about the first twenty minutes. This could even be a GF preview. MC Petrodollars have gone right o...

We're pretty close to full strength. Great chance to sew up second spot on the table and a home final.

Re: Goodwin

I wish we lived in a world where mid week games were the norm.

The sooner we get to say an 16 team comp with 30 games across say 26 weeks, the better. Add international breaks and there should be regular mid-week games.

Re: New Owners?

Disappointing the deal fell through but I honestly can't begrudge the current owners. We consistently see AU youth players given a crack, the Visa's of Ibusuki and Clough are ok (Clough borderline) and the side is playing well. I don't agree with everything the club does and we'll always be on a sho...

Re: Adelaide United v Wellington Phoenix Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Great game for fans, such a bizarre night. Our CB pairing is a real worry, we should have conceded 3-4 goals last night and we're lucky.... This time. Though D'Arrigo was great at #10, Barnett really solid in a more defensive role and honestly we look good without Halloran. That Jovanovic could more...

Probably the first time I've enjoyed D'Arrigo at #10, really good performance.

Re: Newcastle Jets v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Irankunda to start next week in Halloran's absence (5 yellows)?
Not sure he has the tank?

How far off is Bernardo to share the load ?
