Re: Veart?

I have things I don't like week in, week out; primarily D'Arrigo being played out of what I feel is his natural role and the aversion to playing Marrone. However we play good football at times with a lot of very young players and yielding results that are arguably punching above our weight. On bala...

Re: Veart?

I wouldn’t sack Veart but I wouldn’t complain if he was.
I sort of feel like that, for exactly the reasons you state.

And you know what? That leaves me sad, though possibly because I don't think extra time will change things.

Veart?

Just how shit is Veart? I really like the idea that a club legend is our coach. Hell, I'm even happy that Aloisi is his 2ic (though I fear him coming head coach based on his past record) I love Ange being our keeper coach and I believe he's been the most effective of the lot. But Veart. Just how goo...

Re: Lockdown

the state isn't just going to magically reopen next Wed,
Haha
:D

Just add me to the other 1.7 million South Australians who got it wrong.

I wonder if the squad will still be going interstate.

Re: Coopers Stadium

I've spoken before (maybe not on here) on the difficulties with filling in the corners. However, the stands were built with foundations that allow an extra stand. Increasing the capacity is possible... technically. Shade cloth is useless in summer because the sun is too low. Shade cloth is useless i...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Just imagine the thought processes if Veart were offered the top coaching job today: Hmm. Stripped down squad. Very young squad. Lockdown. Yippeeeeeeeeeee :D If anyone were given a chance to genuinely make a name for himself (as opposed to just winning a season or two), it's this one. Personally, I'...

What's Joe doing?
Can't say I'm upset whatever his role is. Good man.

Re: Lockdown

That's a bit sad. Hardly surprising though, we don't really know how long this is going to last and the state isn't just going to magically reopen next Wed, it'll have to be a staged opening.

Lockdown

I tend to lurk rather than post, so please forgive me for starting a thread. With the new season starting at the end of Dec (not that long away), how do you think the current lockdown is going to affect us? We can't assume the state will just open up again next Wed, at best we'll be looking at a sta...

Re: Preview: Brisbane Roar v AUFC 19/07/20

Alternatively if you know someone with a telstra mobile account, you can download the "my football" app and watch the games live on a phone/tablet screen. I have managed to mirror/cast it to the TV but that was a while ago and they may have stopped the ability to do that now- I think i started the ...

Re: Preview: Brisbane Roar v AUFC 19/07/20

Troisi out again. I'd really want to like him but he keeps getting in his own way. After Regan's dump on Verbeek, I wonder how that's affected overseas players who may have wanted to return (yes, I know covid made it difficult, but why come back to a situation you didn't like) https://www.ftbl.com.a...

Anyone with a live stream or live radio?
Not quite what you were asking, but Kayo are showing both games.
Hint. If you join Beteasy, you can get a three month free trial of Kayo.

Re: Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!

Blackwood has to go, he's a waste of a position. I'd suggest he be dropped to the NPL but I don't think he's NPL standard and we can not continue to carry him. Much as I like Garuccio, his crossing tonight has been appalling and without that cross, he's useless to us. Pull him. And it's nice to see...
