Re: Lachlan Brook

All froth and no coffee is Brook. Extremely frustrating to watch and reckon his teammates get frustrated too, reminds me of a bit of Irankunda, except Nestor is 16 and scores. Would sign if cheap but needs a bit of polishing does Brook- how old is he btw? I completely disagree, I actually think he ...

Re: Adelaide United v CC Mariners Match day Jamboree!!!©

I actually thought Cavallo played very well, he's a lot better at CM IMO.

Re: Preview: AUFC v Sydney 29.05

Cool to see Bernardo in the squad, even if he probably won't be in the actual side - the big news for me is no Mo Toure. I know he has been poor since he has come back from injury but I can't believe he is now below Dukuly in the pecking order, who I genuinely believe is in the top 5 worst ever play...

Re: Preview: AUFC v Sydney 29.05

Very tight ladder situation, just a reminder of how it stands: 1. City GP24 PTS48 2. Sydney GP24 PTS41 3. Adelaide GP24 PTS38 4. Brisbane GP23 PTS 37 5. Mariners GP23 PTS 36 6. Macarthur GP23 PTS 36 7. Phoenix GP24 PTS34 8. Perth GP23 PTS32 9. Wanderers GP24 PTS31 10. Western GP23 PTS28 11. Victory ...

Re: Adelaide United v WS Wanderers Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Thought Timotheou had his best game for us. Just one or two minor hiccups early on, after that very solid. Thought 1-1 was a good result considering we were 10 men for most of the game. I was disappointed we didn’t push harder in the last 15 minutes, but when we did we left a 3 on 1 which WSW butch...

Re: Adelaide United v Sydney FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Sydney fans trying to say dived are hilarious, considering Brattan literally milked that contact in an attempt to con the VAR into overturning.

Re: Adelaide United v Sydney Match Day Jamboree!!!©

So with one game left now the finals propositions look a little bit clearer. If we beat City: Western United would have to get 8 points from 4 games (3 wins or 2 wins 2 draws) If we draw with City: Western United would have to get 6 points from 4 games (2 wins or 1 win 3 draws) If we lose to City: W...

Re: Verbeek gone?

I'm all for a local coach. What we need, though, is a solid club philosophy around which criteria are developed. These should be public and understood so fans and the community can get behind them. We then recruit coaches that best fit these criteria (be they playing style, youth development, commu...

Says the think it will be a local coach, I'd say Tony is the frontrunner.

Re: Verbeek gone?

Counting down the seconds until Damian Mori is suggested for the role, don't mean to be rude but I think he's vastly overrated, was at the biggest club in the NPL for years and while he won a few trophies I'd argue they should have won far more considering they always had the best squad.

Re: Verbeek gone?

I'd like to see a local manager brought in, Bruce has said before he prefers Australian managers due to the complexity of the league with the salary cap etc. A few options of varying quality and likeliness that I think would be on the list: - Michael Valkanis - Carl Veart - Tony Vidmar - Ufuk Talay ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

It will be interesting next season where our visa players are positioned on the pitch. Al hassan Toure is proven at this level now with Yengi still finding his feet, I would probably be happy to let Toure develop and not sign a visa striker, but then the same goes for our wingers. In the midfield y...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Halloran is definitely a key signing for us so great news. There's a lot of things to like about the squad but we're lacking in areas. Better foreign players would be a good start. I miss Stuckey's convenient list to see when all the players are coming off contract. Here you go: Expiring 2020 4. Ry...

Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season

Mcgree is on quite a long contract If i remember correctly, we would probably ask for a huge transfer fee given we apparently paid up to a million for him. So i wont be shocked if he stays for another season. I also cant see troisi going back to eyrooe at his age. If he goes anywhere it would be th...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

It really feels like we are back in fourth gear again; not quite fifth gear, when we swept all before us in the FFA Cup, but fourth is better than second gear, which is where we were for all of December. Halloran gets better with every match and is close to being our best, most consistent player no...
