Re: Adelaide United v Western United Match Day Jamboree!!![emoji2398]

Given all this talk about "attacking football" , where exactly is all the attacking? Against WU we lost 5-1 and had 2 shots on goal vs 7. Against Victory they had 8 shots on target vs our 4. Game before that against WSW they had 10 shots on target vs our 3. Maria and Strain had poor games too being ...

Re: New Coach

I don't know if I'd read too much into his time at Feyenoord. They were a fair basket case when he took over and the Dutch are notorious for infighting amongst themselves. Just look at almost any World Cup.. I'll give him or whoever arrives the benefit of the doubt until we see what they do here. Th...

Re: Melbourne City v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Thomassen looked good in his build up play but consistently got his feet tangled when he needed a good first touch to have a shot on goal. You can see he had quality in his build up so it may have just been nerves and trying too hard on debut. If i remember correct cavusavic had a similar debut I a...

Re: Melbourne City v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I would love to know how many goals we have conceded this season due to passing around in our own penalty box or defensive 1/3. Genuine question, why do we persist with it when City were obviously pressing high on our defence and you could see a dangerous turnover was coming from a mile away? It hap...

Re: Perth Glory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Why do we constantly play ourselves into a corner when there is an obvious press on our players!?

If I had a dollar for each time we have conceded from doing this I would have at least 5 bucks...

Re: Preview: Roar v AUFC, 3/3/18

It says a lot that Marrone looks our biggest threat with shots from outside the box.

We take 4 and a half weeks to line up a cross and even then Blackwood is ambling about 25 yards out...

Re: 2017 FFA Cup Round of 16: AUFC vs Melbourne Victory

Loved how much victory players were complaining about our physicality. We struck a mental blow and no doubt they will make public comment about it just before our rd 3 encounter in an attempt to sway the ref. I find the concept of Victory players complaining about our physicality to be downright hi...

Re: 2017 FFA Cup Round 32 AU v Newcastle

Why is it that people seem to have it in for Regan so badly? Personally I thought he kept us in several games last year and provided a lot of leadership at the back. I certainly don't think he played any worse than McGowan and was definitely better than La Rocca... I am not saying we shouldn't look ...

I've done that before, if you turn the brightness up on your phone it'll be able to read it easier.

Enjoy the game :)

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne City Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Dr. Slater said during the telecast that Elrich is expected to be out for a month. Hopefully not the case but if so Goodwin may have to cover, a shame as he's doing so well up front but Elsey really is a liability as a full back. Enjoy seeing him at CB tho.

Re: CC Mariners vs Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Not making for good listening at the moment with Mariners pushing. Never understood why we sit back on a 1 goal lead, especially against the bottom team who has had 1 entire shot on goal the entire game. Just asks for an undeserved equaliser.... Just as I say that we score lol. But still think we sh...

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I suspect it was due to tactics employed by Amor but the lack of forward running by Mells/Carrusca/Isias was evident too. Goodwin or Sanchez would go for a run, be in the final third and these 3 would literally be walking around the halfway line. I think they were probably told to hang back so we ar...

Re: How can the Red Army be improved?

How can they be improved? Not booing Watson & Kitto off the pitch, that's a start. Morons. I thought that was a pretty strange one as well. The bloke was never a star but played his heart out when he did play for us. Wasn't going to be a first team player and went to a club that promised it, seemin...

I feel like this one might be as bad as it looks :$ feel so sorry for the poor bloke, he's been through a hell of a lot and looked like he was just getting back into it.

If he is out long term can we them potentially sign an injury replacement? Serge might have to clear his diary...

Re: Adelaide United v CC Mariners Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I thought I remember hearing a while back when Gombau was still in charge that we hadn't scored from a corner in over 2 years... I suppose they meant directly, and given the amount of "direct" corners we normally play that sounds pretty plausible! I must admit I was pleased to see us put some pressu...
