Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Season’s finished?

So have we actually heard when games will restart? 16th of July Sorry I meant do we know who's playing and where? Ahhhhh you want real details... no, they haven't been released. All I've heard is that we are likely playing Roar away as our first game. Hopes were that AU could have home games but Vi...

Re: RE: Re: New coach 2020-21

I'd be happy to see the remainder of the season as time to give Carl his chance to prove himself.
I'd love to see Micky V come back otherwise.
Agree, it's Carl's job to lose at the moment but it can be fun to speculate and im trying to amp up for the season return.

New coach 2020-21

The club have said they want an Aussie, or South Aussie if possible that can play attractive football, good in the media and can foster a good family culture at the club. Anyone care to speculate/discuss?

Carl Veart?
Damien Mori?
Joe Mullen?
Michael Valkanis?
John Aloisi?
Tony Vidmar?

Re: RE: Re: Episode 6: Return of the Reds, guys.

So a month of re-preseason has begun with everything still up in the air with TV deals, fixtures, crowds and home games all set to change. The players have signed modified contracts for the rest of the season and according to Michael Marrone, at this stage anyone contracted for next season will con...

Re: Members forum June 2020

True, they probably didn't mind when we were winning often, lifting trophies at home, uncovering future socceroos... when those things stop, the problems are magnified.

Re: RE: Re: Season’s finished? Season starting!

There is something very reassuring in seeing Carl Veart in charge of the first team. Hard to argue. Everyone is craving a steady ship in all aspects of life and Carl certainly projects that sense of surety. I feel like Valkanis is the guy long term. He has followed van't schip around since city, to...

Re: RE: Re: Members forum June 2020

They made it pretty clear that there were some behavioural issues they do not want with the next coach, things like dressing down players at press conferences and other obvious things they weren't happy with. That's good to hear, I didn't hate Verbeek but he lost me a bit when he did these things. ...

Re: Members forum June 2020

At the forum they mentioned Kitto a few times and they said he is not in the top 5 of the team consistently but he is easily the nicest person you've ever met and didn't deserve that. They want nice guys, they don't want huge egos and when the head coach is singling out players and dressing them dow...

Re: Verbeek gone?

Any coaching announcement would be an interim coach only. New kit supplier would be interesting.

Re: Members forum June 2020

Just an update on the members forum, there wasn't anything too juicy that I felt needed sharing right away so I've been waiting until I had some time to summarise. The start of the meeting was talking about the club creating a mission statement and some clear keywords that define the club and who th...

Re: New logo.

Its funny, I don't particularly love our current logo, it's just a copy and paste design but I feel if we were to change logos, it would need to be really good otherwise there is no point.
