Re: A-League Men 2022/23

What every Adelaide fan needs to realise is this decision will likely mean a grand final will never be played outside of either Sydney or Melbourne again. The A-leagues will begin to rely on the revenue from selling it. This kills any incentive relating to performance being rewarded as finals approa...

Re: Who's signed for next season

There goes my theory about Timotheou being prepared to take over from Jakobsen, as our left footed/sided centre back.

Re: Preview: AUFC v Melbourne City, Sat 27/11/21

I've downloaded my Vax certificate to Google Pay. It seemed like it will be the easiest way, especially creating a shortcut to it on my mobile home screen. Displaying on the mySA gov app seems a bit fiddly, but maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyway the google pay short cut is pretty straight forwa...

Re: Adelaide United - General Issues and Discussion

Yes, I'm still waiting. I did get an email in my spam folder from APL saying they are working through issues.
So I suggest keep checking your spam folder.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Oh, All the doom and gloom on this page.
Take a step back people. We just missed the grand final this year, and we will be stronger next season.
My hope is we bring in another left back and an attacking midfielder and I'll be happy.

Re: Perth Glory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I've gone right off Verbeek now. Despite the losses the team isn't playing awful, but for him to criticise the quality of his players two weeks in a row just doesn't help the confidence going forward. I'd say his pet player Maria look a bit out of his depth at left back too, perhaps neither are real...

Re: Who's signed for next season

There was a good reason Gombau moved Golec on.
I certainly hope we don't move further away from the philosophy that won us a championship.

Re: Lady Reds

I tried to get to as many Lady Reds game last season as possible, although it was rarely possible because of the times the games kicked off, and only one curtain raiser (for the A-league) from memory. They must have more games at Hindmarsh. Great to see Heyman signed, but I hope AJ is still with us,...

Re: Who's signed for next season

The past couple of years we would have just settled on the signings made so far. But I'll be happy if it's true we are still strengthening the depth of the side with Halloran. Another fast right winger to compete with Mileusnic is just what we need, and with left wingers Goodwin & Kitto (plus youngs...

Re: Who's signed for next season

It took me a couple of minutes to feel totally stupid. Sergio van Dijk, LOL. Apart from that there is La Rocca and Salley. And Jakobsen makes it 5 VISA player signed who have played from other A-league clubs. One, Keenan, was an injury replacement and I seem to remember did okay. van Dijk and La Ro...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Brook is years away from holding down a first team spot. O'Doherty is ready now. You could compare O'Doherty with Konstandopoulos or Strain whom I guess Kurz prefers. IMO O'Doherty should be ahead of those two. But I guess we'll see. From an investor point of view, you'd be disappointed to lose a pl...

Surely the new owners aren't going to let us loose more of our best young players to A-league opponents.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Baba's has looked happy, Kurz has praised him for his attitude, and IMO he has been excellent considering his injury setback at the start of the season. So what the F are you all talking about!?

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United FFA Cup Final Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Why was the ball boy limping before the incident? Feigning injury? Marrone had a bit of a shocker of a game before all that. With Elrich out there is lack of competition for those full back spots. Matmour has failed to impress me in any game yet, and he was a bit of a passenger tonight. We played pr...
