Re: 2014 FFA Cup
City have beaten Croydon 3-1.
So they will play West Adelaide or Western Strikers in the final on 31st of May at Coopers Stadium.
Which would be a great night. I'll try and get down there if I can.

Re: 2014 FFA Cup
I think I'm wrong and the 6 lower ranked HAL clubs go into a pot to be selected at random.
Looking at the draw though, the top four HAL clubs have to play their games away to a NPL side. Where as the lower 6 clubs may have a home game. That seems pretty dumb.

Re: 2014 FFA Cup
They've made it so there's definitely a semi-pro team in the Semi-finals. Knocking out 3 of the HAL teams in the round of 32 is part of making that happen. Not sure I like it, especially if the gap between HAL and NPL is proven to be large and we end up with an 8-0 result in that game.I think I'm wrong and the 6 lower ranked HAL clubs go into a pot to be selected at random.

http://m.footballaustralia.com.au/news- ... -Cup/90439Westfield will be the inaugural naming rights partner of the FFA Cup with the competition to be referred to as the Westfield FFA Cup for the next three seasons.
Speaking at today’s historic announcement, FFA CEO David Gallop, paid tribute to the support that Westfield provides to football in Australia.
Wonderful news. Hopefully this money goes towards making the tournament sustainable in the future. IMO this is just as important as the HAL going forward.FFA also announced today that Umbro will be the “Official Ball Supplier of the Westfield FFA Cup”, and will supply a specially designed FFA Cup Match Ball which will also be available for football fans in select retail outlets.
The official broadcast partner of the Westfield FFA Cup, Fox Sports, will broadcast live and exclusive the Round of 32 draw on Thursday, 26 June 2014. Fox Sports coverage of the Westfield FFA Cup 2014 will include a minimum of 10 matches from the Round of 32 onwards, including all Quarter Finals, both Semi Finals and the Westfield FFA Cup Final 2014.

Re: 2014 FFA Cup
http://www.foxsportspulse.com/assoc_pag ... D=29662476West Adelaide booked their place in the2014 Coca-Cola Federation Cup Final on Saturday 31 May at Coopers Stadium, as a second half onslaught downed Western Strikers 5-1 in their Coca-Cola Federation Cup Semi-Final at the Adelaide Shores Football Centre on Wednesday.
Well IMO its a great way to kick the new version of this comp off.Adelaide City will take on West Adelaide in the Coca Cola Federation Final at Coopers Stadium on May 31 at 3pm.
Anyone heading down for the final?
