Most of our work revolves around finishing.Take the points when and where you can get them but f-me, we have a lot of work to do.
Where is our No. 10?

I missed this one. A clean sheet and 3 points away to in-form Wellington isn't a bad result at all.

Dom and Alby! I loved it when they referenced the Jamboree during their broadcast. We only had radio when the jamboree started.

Wellington created very little. Testament to our defence.
We still need a lot of work going forward.
Nevertheless a very good result away from home.
Also that's our 5th away win, having only won twice at home.

Managed to catch the replay of the game on Fox. Good to win away but we are still lacking pretty badly. Blackwood had 2 shots for the whole game that I remember both terrible but 1 of them jagged a goal. He either shoots straight at the keeper or misses the target completely.
I thought O'doherty played really well, so did Strain, Elsey and Gulum.
Wellington didnt offer much but they did glance the crossbar twice and Izzo made a couple of good saves. They finished stronger as we parked up to hold on to the points.

Huge game for Elsey yesterday. Youth product, lots of bad injuries keeping out for years pretty much, no contract at the start of the season and almost cut from the squad but was given a trial competing against Mullen, won, secured a starting position and yesterday captained the club while putting in a captain's performance! Kudos to him. Hard worker like him, he'll go a long way!

I feel like blackwood has shown enough for us to make him first choice striker above baba ( when fit)
Yes, he is still a work in progress but he has shown to be very strong on the ball during hold up play and has a good dose of speed and agility for a big guy.
He can only get better from here and with better service ( how about a farking 10 aufc!!? ) he will be even better.
Move baba on at seasons end, keep stamatelopolis and blackwood , use the money for a classy 10.
Our front third is more than good enough its that defenders know the chances of a killer ball coming in from a creative mid are non existent, if we had that element in our game we would be top 2

Not too bold.
He's better than $5M man Gulum, he's up there with McGowan & Boogaard at their peaks. (Valkanis, Og, Costanzo are too far back in the mists of time for me to assess accurately)

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I think given the +1 rule in asia he may have a big contract ahead of him in asia ( most likely china )Is it too bold to say he is one of the best CB's we've ever had? Also elsey as captain is huge,
Can an agreement that he takes over as captain after isaias leaves keep him at the club ?
For that reason he could easily become the clubs biggest transfer fee if we can keep him

I'm hoping the club come to the table and offer Elsey what he is worth. Can see him getting snapped up by another HAL club because of our bs offer.
