Now Shegufa is a confident 16-year-old girl and speaks fluent English complete with a strong Australian accent.
There are so many of these stories, of people who have gone thru hard ship only to come to Australia and find the most enjoyable way to connect with their new community if thru football. Maybe if the media stopped laying the boot in and the FFA stopped spending all their time patting themselves on the back these story could be heard?
There are so many areas of community, government and business where football could be a serious aid especially when it comes to Asia, yet the main two codes keep us locked in a world of ingnorance and as a result we're still considered laughable by the countries we so dearly need to engage.
