Re: 2015 Asian Cup
With a large number of aleague players in the squad now just watch some clubs have a huge cry about losing players for the asian cup, despite knowing this was coming years before
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

Nah I can't see it happening for the something as heavily backed by the FFA as the Asian Cup.With a large number of aleague players in the squad now just watch some clubs have a huge cry about losing players for the asian cup, despite knowing this was coming years before
Its too important a tournament for that to be allowed.

Re: 2015 Asian Cup
And my tip to win comes through.... which just proves I watch way too much crap football.
It's Palestine into the Asian Cup in 2015. Should be interesting as they aren't a bad side and have everything to play for.

Just seen a segment about afgani football on football mondial.
Did not realise they have their own league that seems to be very popular in the country.

Re: 2015 Asian Cup
with two Asian cup friendlies planned in October and two more for November, hopefully all in Aus, can we expect us and Perth to get a fixture?
2015 Asian Cup
Heard one of the teams is Belgium!
They'll want to promote the game in the eastern states where the tournament is held so I'd be surprised if we got a game :/
Still, now we have AO, I'd expect us to get a qualifying game for the World Cup 2018.

Re: 2015 Asian Cup
Anybody got any up to date info on when the tickets will be sent out ?
I sent an e-mail the other day and got a reply saying:
"The tickets for this event are under a suppression, meaning that the tickets are not printed and sent out straight away.
The tickets will not be sent out or made available for collection until the suppression is lifted. The suppression has been extended and will now be lifted in October.
If you have not received your tickets within one month of the event, please contact us again and we will see what alternative arrangements can be made."
Anybody got any idea what this "suppression" business is all about ? All sounds a bit suss

I assume it's to deter scalpers from buying up a lot of tickets and on-selling them to people.
I think it's pretty common practice to do for large events where the sale starts well before the event.

Re: 2015 Asian Cup
I ordered mine and chose to pick them up at the venues, otherwise I am liable to lose them.
Any idea on how the sales have gone for our games?
