Hopefully AU's goal on Friday involving Goodwin, Jeggo and Mabil will boost their confidence and they will step up more reducing AU's reliance of Chelo, Cirio and Bruce to get the goals. Also how many clubs around the world after winning a major cup field the same team days later in the premiership and expect a good performance?I felt Roar shaped up very well against AU.Last 4 games we've really, really struggled to score.
2-0 against a 10 man WSW
0-1 against a rubbish Roar
1-0 against a 10 man Perth
1-2 against the worst/second worst team in the comp
That game was always going to be a grind against Newy. We have played 3 games in a week before and done well. But this was completly different in that the players barely celebrated the cup before jumping on a plane to tackle newcastle, this would have effected our prep and our mentality towards the game.
Still a long way to go yet and injuries have not really hit perth in way MV AUFC and SFC have.
The bottom 6 are also starting to find form so its going to get very interesting
Ahahahahahaha
