I think the title says it all - "Former coach John Kosmina..."

Kossie, if you were any good you might still been coaching rather than writing for the Sunday Mail.

The man that signed kostopolous and froze out van dijk. Yet reminds everyone on foxsports that he signed jero and carusca only when they play well

I don't seem to come across the Sunday Mail articles.
I suppose I'm not missing anything.

Apparently this article prompted Val to call the author a c&*t the next time they crossed paths!

Oh well.

He took one for the good of the team.

Interesting article from Kossie. Saying Gomby played into their hands by starting Jerro ahead of Bruce - I thought this was a forced change because Bruce was not 100%?

Then goes on to say that Gomby deserves his contract extension and finishes with his trademark dig at the management.

surely that paragraph was not written by Kossie

Latest from Val. No official quotes as per usual and some obvious guesses. It is important to note that he misses mentioning anything about Zullo's contract (bleedingly obvious as he was loaned for only this season) or Elrich's (one year deal as well).
It’s understood the Reds may consider releasing leading goal scorer Jeronimo Neumann (nine goals) from the remainder of his contract, which ends next year.

It’s also believed promising defender Daniel Bowles has penned a deal with Brisbane Roar and will join former Reds midfielder Steven Lustica for the next 2014/15 season.

With rock solid teenager Jacob Melling seemingly on his way to Melbourne Heart and skilful midfielder Jake Barker-Daish also set to be released, Jon McKain re-signing is a deal pending for the new season.

Oh Val.. I swear we do more research on here when we speculate about player movement lol.

I'm happy to keep Jero, but I wouldn't be surprised if we let him go. His away track record isn't great, and there's plenty more talent out there - and Josep may have ideas on who he could bring in already. Hope he stays but yea, wouldn't be surprised.

JBD similar, like him but wish him luck if he were to leave. Bowles can go, no major loss I don't think. Same goes for Melling.

I truly hope we manage to sign McKain though...

Melling has already been released. We knew JBD and Bowlesy would be off.

As for Jerro, he's been a huge hit at Hindmarsh but I think we could do better with Mabil filling his boots.

I also find myself continually frustrated at his decision making and desire to shoot when there are much better options available.

That goal against Welly tho....

We have to release a foreign player for next season as we're only allowed 4, right?

Jero is the obvious choice, although he's a good player and has an eye for goal he doesn't really fit the system neatly. He's not really a natural centre forward, or winger, or playmaker... I think he would do best as a second striker playing off a big man, which is not how we play at all.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I think its the season after that the quota changes. I think that would be pretty harsh to only give clubs 6 months to make massive changes like that.

Oh OK. Well that's a good thing then! Gotta fit Carles Puyol in the squad somehow!

That article would never come from a TWG journo only someone associated with fox.

He completely misses the point, wsw play defensive but atleast they entertain for 90 minutes.

Its a bit of a dig at gombau i feel also, which would make that his second since the val incident

Meh, Simon Hill is entitled to his opinion.

I prefer the way we play now.
