Old habits die hard.
We can NEVER kill off a side, and that is a worry.
That could have been a real goal difference builder, and a way of giving form and confidence to some players, and rattling the cage of other teams in the League, but that shower of LAZY SODS could'nt be bothered.
It looked like many of the games last season, sleepwalking defence, indecive midfield, and ineffective attack.
I reckon Rini would have been seething in the dressing room after the game.
Yes, The papers and the records show that we had a 2 nil win -fantastic, but those who were at the ground know full well that that was an abysmal performance (after the 2nd goal) by Adelaide and that only Fury's lack of any kind of firepower prevented them winning or even getting a draw.
Thank goodness we were'nt playing Brisbane last night!

Was pissed off when Cassio went to take a quick throw in at about 65min and Hughes and Rini telling him to slow it down.

Really looking forward to this one. I think we'll probably win but, as others have said, Fury are not always easy to beat.

Prediction:
AU 2 (van Dijk, Corny/Fyfe from a set piece)
NQ 0

Wasn't too far off.

Pretty scratchy peformance apart from the first 15 mins, but having said that it was an absolutely commanding win so I'm not going to complain too much.

Next time I'd like to see the pitch for the whole match and not be blocked by a giant flag for half of it (including the van Dijk goal).

pretty much agree with everyone else tbh, great start and dissapointing we didn't score a fistfull.
Lost me scarfe at the game to :(

But 3 points is 3 points at thats the most important thing, if we keep winning we will finish top no matter how many goals Brisbane score.

And why not? after two early goals we have all the time in the world to score the third. Why attack like maniacs when it is not necessary? So we kept the ball, giving the Fury limited chance to gain possession and have a chance on goal.

Yes its a little boring to watch but its better then leaving holes at the back late in the game trying to get a 3rd or 4th goal when it isnt necessary
We are UNITED, after all....

In fairness United's defence is still not the best in the league- the Roar, Gold Coast, Mariners and Jets are all better in that department.

But yes, I still believe in the mantra "pass, move, and score more than the opposition". That's the way.
