Yep, that is why it was so important we were not part of the ACL this year, we could never have won either trophy. No we have finally won the A-league we can focus on the ACL. I don't really care that much if we finish last in the A-league next year, we must do everything we can to win the ACL.

I'm very much looking forward to the ACL, but I fear the club may go into it without a squad able to deal with both ACL and HAL.
I really see success in the ACL are only possible for a HAL side in one of two ways.
Prioritise the ACL over the HAL and expect poor form in the HAL unless the kids they play suddenly become superstars.
Or sign ACL only players that are capable of playing at that level like WSW did.

I agree that with the wrong squad it can be disasterous but it is absolutely possible.

We did it in 09. Many other teams have played well in ACL while still pushing for the plate and finals.

Depth is ultra important next season and probably a couple of acl only signings including a +1 asian player to lighten the load.

No I have not, my position has always been that I wanted the club to win the Championship first and then I would support the club in the ACL. And I have been proven right with my stance, we would not have won any trophies if we had won that game. It is the best thing that has ever happened to the club that we lost that game.

I always get emotional when I see that bit where Euge sinks to his knees at the final whistle and then tears up. I don't know why but it just always gets me

I was barely holding it together at the ground on the day, but when I seen Euge, I lost it… haha

the doco was a nice trip down memory lane… I had totally forgotten about WSW’s epic game to get into the final

my overwhelming thoughts after watching are, man I miss that Spanish era!!!
