Re: Who's signed for next season
Great for those two lads but I was excited to see them grow next year.
Add in the fact we'll have $1m less in dividends from the APL next season and I'd be surprised if we signed anyone other than youth team prospects.
Meanwhile the older boys will be another year older...

Who's signed for next season
Javi and HVDS can cover RBJavi Lopez rides again!Bovalina off to the White Caps.
Quite a loss for us, however good luck to the lad and a well deserved reward.

A new RB signing just went a few notches up the priority list. Panashe can cover for Harry, however he's always struck me as more of an attacking winger than wing-back/RB.

Re: Who's signed for next season
The solution for me is to take a break from a-league in general for a while. For a passionate fan like me, it’s pretty sad but I have had little enjoyment from my club this season.
I have no solution to the never ending false dawns in Australian football and none for AU.
No issue with selling a few each year, that’s football, but last few seasons have sucked in all honesty., especially knowing they will likely sign garbage to replace the outgoings. As for remaining heroes, pretty slim pickings imo!
Ok see ya.
I'm sure you'll be back when we start winning and qualifying for finals again

It appears the club is aiming to continue our proud and venerable tradition of being the bridesmaid in the domestic transfer market.Few rumours floating about:

VDS and Hiro to Brisbane?
WHY?
Can't we pay them a living wage?
Is Adelaide crap?
Is Kosmina as CEO responsible for all the coming and going?
Who are the "football department" at the club?

Re: Who's signed for next season
That’s the big question for me.
Petrillo was the great loss, no doubt about it. Bruce got the squad back on track imo and it’s been a bit nqr since his departure.
In saying that, with such a shocking firesale this season, I think this bare bones rag tag squad that have finished the season have actually done a brilliant job recently, they came home strong but clearly lacking depth.
Who actually is the clubs TD or head of football?

Re: Who's signed for next season
Don't think Kosmina has much of a say in players. He is responsible for all other operations.
Money comes from the owners who installed Ned Morris as the chair. I'd suspect he is the one on the ground calling the shots (Like Piet before him).
Head of Football is Marius Zanin who has a marketing background...

Losing Warland - we lack CBs as it is. Kikianis will have to step up.
VDS has been ok but with Bova gone we need him to cover RB, unless Javi is back or Panache takes RB while mileusnic takes RW.
They are obviously expecting Jovanovic to play CF in place of Hiro. Backup would be… who knows, but will need one cos Jov will score 5 goals and we will sell him to Albanian second division in January.
Meanwhile Isa will battle on holding us together.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I like Jovanovic as a backup and I'm at the point as an Adelaide supporter where I'm glad he hasn't scored more because then we'd definitely lose him
Mileusnic for Halloran is pretty much like-for-like. At his best Halloran was a better all-round player but I feel like he's losing his sharpness maybe more quickly than Niko. Maybe they both just need a change.
Armiento and Stamatelopoulos, also both Adelaide boys that I would love to see come home.
Defense (& DM) is the biggest priority. I don't know the answers, but we always seem a bit slow across the backline - aside from Kitto & Bova (who are tasked with supporting the attack and so often caught out of position when a counter is on anyway). I think we need to give Kikianis a lot of time next season alongside a more experienced head - ideally a new signing. We still haven't replaced Jakobsen adequately imo

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Marius Zanin, the guy who used to be the Head of Marketing at the club. Really don’t know how that job plus a FIFA diploma gets you a Director of Football gig tbhThat’s the big question for me.
