We tried hard to draw this one. But our historically strong record at Suncorp returns.
On good baseline we tend to win there and at Sydney Football Stadium.

So, that's three times in a row we've had leads and gambled on bizarre substitutions of core players. 1W, 1D 1L.
Can't complain about the number of goals per game though. And Hiro is in peak form. Padahna looked the goods.

Mauk, Isaias, Clough all bring that intensity, leadership, experience. When they go off we lose something and become more fragile and naive. So, that's three times in a row we've had leads and gambled on bizarre substitutions of core players. 1W, 1D 1L.

Having said that, Carl obviously needs to give some of our younger players (the kids, but not just the kids) some decent game time, for experience and growth, and maybe also so that he can assess to what extent they're up to playing a more significant role next season.
There's no better time to put younger more inexperienced players on than when you're comfortably leading 1-4. Thankfully the 3 goal buffer was enough.

Dropped 5 points. Would have had us 6th. If that even matters to anyone at the club? So, that's three times in a row we've had leads and gambled on bizarre substitutions of core players. 1W, 1D 1L.
