I also believe we should extend Marco Kurz's contract.

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC
As fans we want our coach to be winning games. He's got a better record of doing that then any other AU coach.I also believe we should extend Marco Kurz's contract.
I see it as very unlikely that the club is sitting on their hands on this one. I wonder if Marco wants to stay after this season? And if he does want to stay whether he's happy staying on a similar wage?
Time to Djbate!

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC
Kurz may stay if he thinks he has the clubs checkbook behind him given he would likely have 2 marquees at his disposal.
On the other hand, he may want to go home for family reasons. I wouldnt be surprised to see kurz managing in the bundesliga at some stage in his future.

Kurz to be poached by South Melbourne... (if they are selected.)

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC
Kurz inferred his frustration with not having a striker in his latest press conference, but I’m sure other people here have a closer, intimate knowledge of the man’s subconscious than I.

Well let's just hope South Melbourne don't get in, as it would be hard for anyone to resist that sort of pay rise.
AU should definitely be looking to start up contract extension discussions sooner rather than later.

Re: The Next Coach of AUFC
Kurz in the final year of his contract and suddenly Hellas want to pay him $1m, apparently they've gone cold on Roberto Carlos.
Reported by Val a day after Val writes an opinion piece saying we must move heaven and earth to keep him.
Sorry folks, this is as credible as the Aloisi brothers moving to Adelaide when they were in contract negotiations.
I'm still not 100% convinced on Kurz, the last month has been great but there was a lot of long ball and negative play prior to that.
Let's see how the next few months play out before rushing in to anything, lest we repeat Brisbane Roars error.

I think he has done more than enough to warrant an extension to his contract.

Glad we haven't rushed in to anything here.
Aloisi now available of course, Gombau's contract is up in 6 months, Rudans success is somehow conflated with Mori, interesting times to come.

Hang on Rojos, one minute you're saying it's unrealistic to consider Aloisi as our next coach, the next minute you're hailing him as a good option.
Sorry, but I'd be very happy to sign Kurz for another 2 years if we can.

I want kurz to stay, but if he leaves, surely mori would be an option if he hasn't signed his life to Bob D'otavi. (excuse spelling)

C'mon, have another read.Hang on Rojos, one minute you're saying it's unrealistic to consider Aloisi as our next coach, the next minute you're hailing him as a good option.

Above I said Johnny used the threat of moving to Adelaide to lock in his deal at Brisbane, the Roar were silly to be fooled by the manoeuvre and by the same token Adelaide would be silly to lock in Kurz on the basis he may move to South Melbourne etc.
Now that he's unemployed he'd be a natural candidate with Mori, Gomby and a few others should things not work out with Kurz.

And I'd rather Kurz than all of them. I dont want an Aloisi near our club.

Boys, I don't think we can win this one. We don't have a real striker ... sorry Ken, but you're not good enough as a 9 or a 10. The season is basically over for us now and I'm just hoping we get some decent players for next season.
