I agree that he is overrated but we need an Australian striker and he is as good as we can probably hope for.

Problem is he may be priced out of our market.

Lethal Australian strikers don't exactly grow on trees. Unless Gombau finds someone to replace Bruce/give him some competition so he steps up his game and starts scoring more, Adelaide won't be a major force next season.

I very much doubt JG is looking for someone to replace Bruce. He wouldn't give someone a brand new 2 year deal if he wasn't a key element of his plan going forward.

Even if it's to give Djite some competition, Gombau NEEDS to sign another striker.

Adelaide had a habit of fluffing sitters and wasting chances last year. If they want to truly compete for the toilet seat, a new striker needs to come in. Whether that's J-Mac, Babalj or even Juric or Troisi, they have to do it.

Not that I've heard. There is that old one about Zac Anderson but I'm not sure now that La Rocca has been signed.
I haven't heard any more about Richardson's trial with the club either. I'm guessing we'll heard more next week.
