This is why there needs to be more focus on making sure these players can earn a decent wage so the attraction of leaving isn't so high. Bugger paying these aging stars that come here for one last pay check. I'd much rather see someone like Mabil for example gets a good offer to go to China. AU offer him a salary in the range that he was getting offered. In that time he then continues to develop in an environment he's already comfortable in. Then who knows in a seasons time he might have taken the next step and is setting the league alight and a European club comes knocking with hopefully a better deal for both Awer and the club.
