HAL Allstars

More players announced for the match with Juve.
Great to see no AU players in it yet as any selected will certainly miss the FFA Cup match against the Nix due to the geniuses from the FFA organising the a training camp to be played over the same time as the FFA Cup match. Nice to see the FFA cheapen the tournament they have organised by making a meaningless friendly more of a priority.
AU will certainly lose Gombau as coach for the match but hopefully his influence will mean no AU players are selected and plenty of Nix players are in!

Squad so far:
David Williams
Besart Berisha
Gui Finkler
Tomi Juric
Sasa Ognenovski
Storm Roux
Josh Rose
Ali Abbas
Matthew Spiranovic

Why not just give the club who won the grand final or premiership the right to play the friendly against the international club every year ?

Ever state has a big stadium they could fill.

ALL STARS just makes it feel like a big glass of emptiness. Liverpool vs MV was far better to watch then All Stars vs Man U

Yeah I agree the Liverpool match highlighted the fact that we don't need these mickey mouse teams being created. I really have zero interest in this match. Mainly due to it clashing with AU!

Another attempt from the "Top" to create an instant "football culture" down there.

At the very least if they played an A-League team there would be some interest from the A-League team's fans and they would have some cohesion when playing therefore putting on more of a spectacle.

aslong as everyone is ok with it always being a MVFC, MCFC, SFC, WSW, BRFC fixture. they will never let Perth or us or a smaller club host.

Unfortunately this is correct. Not being a pessimist. It's why the FFA Brains Trust thought up of that bullcrap $250k fee for one-off international friendlies.

That said, the All Farts has always been Foxtel's little baby.

Don't forget the long punt competition at half time...
