Re: A league transfer rumours and discussion, NON AU
So villa could be heading home in november, farking lol!
This is why city will not compete this year for any trophy because the smoke and mirrors come ahead of building a team.
The whole guest player rule is outdated anyway. The league has progressed beyond this point.

Miller released from Brisbane by "mutual consent".
Things starting to unravel much?

I remember when Lustica left us for them last season and i read the Roar forums, they were like "something isn't right down there, very poor culture at that club"
Hope they finish bottom this season

So Matt Smith from Roar rumoured to be off to Thailand?
Seems like some are doing their best to jump ship.

Im in bangkok right now, would have loved to see a thai match, but ive seen kids playing in the streets and parks, their skill level in amazing, step-overs , back heels, nut megs, flicks etc all from 9 year olds.So Matt Smith from Roar rumoured to be off to Thailand?
Seems like some are doing their best to jump ship.
This surely translates to the thai first league ? If so im not so sure matt smith would shine against quick skilful striker like this.
Seriously though, from what ive seen i just cannot believe thailand are minnows in asian football

I imagine that would be down to the management of the game there.Im in bangkok right now, would have loved to see a thai match, but ive seen kids playing in the streets and parks, their skill level in amazing, step-overs , back heels, nut megs, flicks etc all from 9 year olds.So Matt Smith from Roar rumoured to be off to Thailand?

Re: A league transfer rumours and discussion, NON AU
I spoke to heaps of people about football both times I went to Thailand and not one of them gave a single fuck about Thai football. Club or country.
I could name more Thai players than all of the people I spoke to combined could, no exaggeration.
And I only know about 3 Thai players!
So I suspect the pathways through to club football are essentially non existent.

Yeah I wanted to buy a Thai football shirt when I was in Bangkok. The thousands of stalls selling shirts basically had only shirts for big Euro clubs and popular national teams. Nobody gives two shits about local football. Finally found a Chonburi FC shirt in an official Nike shop though, so I was happy.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Ive seen heaps of kids playing football ball with makeshift goals and practising their muay thai between goals.....thats deadly combination that is!!
Its sad to see countries suffer from poor governance when it seems they really have some talent

One of the best things is watching people play sepak takraw, the crazy foot-volleyball that people play with rattan balls ...
