Re: Women's team
We seem to have lost our way once Mary Fowler departed.
Is it a matter of recruiting a couple of strong characters, a controlling midfielder amongst them, in order to provide that on-field leadership?

Re: Adelaide United v Western United Match Day Jamboree!!![emoji2398]
Is it because it’s a homeless soulless club wandering the western reaches of outer Melbourne with shit colours and a rag tag bunch of journeymen beeneverywhereelsers in its squad. Their new ground at Tarniet should address much of this (well, maybe not the colour scheme). It mightn't be much of a g...

Re: Australia World Cup 2026 Journey!
I'd love to see more fringe Socceroos and debutants in the next two games. Who would you like to see? Some solid time on the park for Alexander Robertson, Patrick Yazbek and Jacob Italiano given a debut at right back. Mo back into the squad would be good to see. Circati given another outing at Cent...

Re: 2026 AFC Qualifiers
Most games in the 4th round went as expected, bar Afghanistan who managed a 1-2 win away to India , and Tajikistan , who've continued their good form with a 1-1 draw against Saudi Arabia . Teams already qualified for the Third Round include: Qatar, Iran, Uzbekistan, Iraq, UAE, Australia. Japan may h...

We've lost three players to bad tackles these last two gamesHrustic caught twice in this match in bad tackles. That one was a clear red card. I won’t be surprised if that puts him out for weeks.I just saw the tackle on Hrustic.
Straight Red farken!

Re: 2026 AFC Qualifiers
North Korea cancelled the return leg against Japan in Pyongyang. The AFC suggested a replay, however FIFA declared the match cancelled and unable to be replayed. A decision will be made regarding the match and, I assume, North Korea's continued participation. https://www.nknews.org/2024/03/north-kor...

Re: WAFF u-23 2024
And we are through with good work from Hall and some poor penalties from Saudi. Looks like the WAFF final will be a battle of the traditional West Asian rivals, a rivalry born in the dunes of the Arabian Peninsular. Grab your camel and strap your musket to your back as Australia take on South Korea ...

WAFF u-23 2024
I am watching the Olyroos playing Egypt in the West Asian Football Federation U-23 Semi-Finals (just gone to extra-time). It struck me that the tournament consists of Saudi, Jordan, UAE & Iraq from WAFF, and Thailand, South Korea, Australia & Egypt from elsewhere. Why were Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Ye...

Being originally from the country, I used to think that for all intensive purposes Murray Bridge was where the big smoke startedExile them to Gawler or Aldinga?
Gawler wouldn't be far enough for some mate. We're almost an outer suburb now

Re: 2026 AFC Qualifiers
Some interesting games on tonight. Japan v North Korea is a game that is likely to be fiery (from the North Korean side at least, my guess is the Japanese will be just hoping not to be too badly injured). Another is Oman v Malaysia, a phrase I never expected to utter ( Malaysia have really picked u...
