Looks like we'll be playing some really attacking football next year!
Wait, we don't have attackers either.....
Looks like we'll have a great midfield scrum next year. And a goalkeeper.
Stay calm. Nothing to see here.

Re: Hiroshi Ibusuki
And we've just announced that VDS, Barr and Ansell are gone....hold the press!....Warland as well.
Complete clean out of the defence.
This could be very interesting. One assumes there is a plan. Or one doesn't......

Re: Hiroshi Ibusuki
A disaster. Again. AU seems to specialise in this crap. As far back as Dodd. Cassio. Others already mentioned. Still, after the season he's had, Hiro was probably in demand. The club have a 'loose change' approach to transfers and wages. Think if what (who) weve lost this year (Gauci, Poppa, Nestor...

Re: Ben Halloran Departs Adelaide United
Sad to see Ben go but it certainly looked like he fell out of love with the club this year. One of my favourite players, casually elegant and clever on the ball. But as someone else has said, he's been off the pace and the return hasn't been there. He'd probably argue that being chopped and changed ...

Re: Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!! ©
So, that's three times in a row we've had leads and gambled on bizarre substitutions of core players. 1W, 1D 1L.
Can't complain about the number of goals per game though. And Hiro is in peak form. Padahna looked the goods.
The Red roller-coaster roll on.....

Re: Hiroshi Ibusuki
Barnett has immense potential but....injuries! I hope we get to see the best of him next year.
Tunnicliffe has been a disaster. He's barely State League standard.
Delianov will improve and is a decent A-League keeper. We were spoilt with Joe.

Re: Hiroshi Ibusuki
Hiroshi will be a club legend. He's everything you want from a Reds player. Polite, good on the ball, hard-working, supportive of team-mates - and he scores goals. It's be a disaster to lose him. He and Clough have proven to be excellent signings after rough starts. No question that the real investm...

masterstroke taking off 2 of our best players in Mauk & Clough & leaving us without a midfield eh This. And this. And, yep, this. And our captain (love Kitto but he's no captain) failing to give the penalty ball to Jovanovic. I'm pretty sure everyone in the stadium who knew anything about football ...

Re: Perth Glory v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©
Such a great game to watch. I turned on after 20 mins - thanks to Paramount being bizarre - and watched Glory go 2 up. Then......wondrous stuff. Sometimes two teams who can't defend but can score make great viewing. Mind you, there was some great last ditch defending from both sides (us in particula...

Re: Newcastle Jets v Adelaide United Match day Jamboree!!!©
I was surprised they only had a bit over 4,000 there at the game. I guess Newcastle are on a bad run and there's the uncertainty surrounding the lack of an owner. But if that low crowd is usual I can understand why they're struggling to find a buyer. Some more info for you ... https://www.theguardi...

OK, that's enough for me. We've moved from idiotic spouting of opinions that are essentially homophobic to trading in unsubstantiated rumours and innuendo that barely disguise the hate speech and strident political opinions of the author. Either the mods ban this AndyJ guy or I'm out of here. Not fu...

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©
We were a shambles and we still only lost 2-1. We have a team but Carl has confused just about every one of them. It's time to get a manager who can commit to a structure and trust the players to play it. All I see is a bunch of demoralised players who probably feel a bit like us. They've been let d...

Re: Who's signed for next season
We'll ride out this season and maybe we'll make finals and maybe not. It's football so anything can happen. Next year we'll have Van der Saag, Barnett, Panashe and maybe Toure fit. We probably need one good CB and one goal-scorer. Midfield is sound. Plenty of options for backup and young players som...
